Well I made it to my 1 year mark and have lost 84 pounds from a size 24 to a 14.  Now I'm starting to worry about keeping the weight off.  I don't know want to do now as far as teaching myself the right foods how to and when to.  Boy should I go back to weigh****chers?  I have never been a big eater.   HELP WHAT TO DO??????????

This is just my opinion but YES go to weigh****chers now. I am 3 1/2 years out and wish I would have. I started weigh****chers yesterday and have put on 30 pounds in the last 2 years. Thought I could do it on my own but found it was hard to do. My nut wanted me to try to get all my protein from food and not shakes, so I ate alot more than I should have, even though it was mostly protein stuff but to much. With weigh****chers you wil at least keep what your eating into perspective and not let it get out of hand like I did. Good Luck, Debra

Some people take longer to get down to goal. Some are losers for 18 months to two years...just alittle slower than others. You should stick to your surgeon's program first and foremost. Weigh****chers is a good program but they don't have diet options on our program, I don't believe..High protein, low carb..you know. They have good points though..

I know that being a year out and suddenly looking at maintaining can be scary..
Yes, RNY worked for me but it also requires a lot of work from me!

Before Surgery: 214
Highest Weight: 240
Now: 125.6
Goal: 130
