P.S.  My year + long absence has NOTHING to do with my WLS, or my type of WLS. See my profile.

From what i've been reading on the OH forums, it' not worth it. Apparently it only lasts a few weeks and it costs a LOT of money. If you have a BMI over 35 with comorbidities or over 40 without...you may qualify for a revision.

We have a LOT of RNY to DS revisions on the DS forum.

I am having it done in two weeks. Will let you know. I think it is a better option than lap band after bypass. My pouch is not big enough for the band anyway, so it is not an option.
My pouch is not strectched out and I have not regained weight but I have stalled. I lost 180 pounds and kept it off for three years but I can't lose the rest of my weight. Soon as I do than it is off to the plastic man!

Congrats on the 180 lbs!!!!  I called my insurance and they don't cover any time of weightloss program including the surgeries. I know I've stretched my stomach but it's not overly strethced. I think it can hold 1.5 - 2 cups. Which if you think about it is a good size. I can eat a healthy meal. I'm careful of the carbs I eat. I do splurge every now and then with an everthing bagel  but I don't eat the whole thing at once.  I know what my problem is, i'm lazy. I'm not getting enough exercise. Like they say, "the first step to recovery is admittance". And I do plan to add more exercise starting tomorrow! ~Promise~
My lowest weight was in the low 160's. I'm currently (I don't even want to type it out) is 215ish. I know I will be able to lose it. I just have to keep it in mind that it's not going to come off in 2 months.  If I lose 20 lbs I should be able to fit into my clothes. I'll shoot for Christmas. At least I can still fit into my winter jacket.
I wish you all the luck on your upcoming procedure and pls let me know how you are doing with it.
How much more would you like to lose?

I would still like to lose about 70 pounds. I have been told that most RNY lose below their normal and than gain a little and stabilize. I went from 360 to 180 to 200 and have stayed at 200 for years. I just had an upper GI and gastroscopy and they measured my pouch and it is still the same size as post surgery but my stoma is a little enlarged so I m having the stomaphyx. I have a lot of excess skin as well so I want to lose the rest of the weight and then have the skin removed. Hopefully I can lose another 50lbs and then have the skin taken off. I am excited and nervous but hopeful.  Like you, I know it is only a tool not a cure. Still have to work the program of exercise and healthy eating.
