Weight Gain

Hi!

This is a quick question.  I'm wondering if some of you have gained back weight since having your surgery.  I had RNY almost 3-1/2 years ago and have gained back 20 lbs.  I exercise about three times a week.  I heard that many gain back some of the weight, but I am wondering if anyone out there has tricks to help counteract the weight gain and get back on track.

Thanks, in advance, for any suggestions you may have.

I know I gained back at least 25 lbs....so with much sadness I am really back on the train to try and loose this weight.  I have got to get this UNDER CONTROL before I gain all my weight back.

Thanks for your reply to my post.  I am trying to be more careful as well because I'd freak out if I gained back all of the weight.  I worked too hard to get to this point.  Good luck!

I had to do some soul searching about what was my trigger food. That's the food I can't STOP eating once I start. When I identified that food, I got rid of it and never let it pass my lips again. It's hard to do but once you rid yourself of that food, you can stay away from it no prob (well, with some effort - -)

With me it's sugar so I go with sugar free stuff. I have to say no or once I start, I just won't stop. That seems to work for me.
Yes, RNY worked for me but it also requires a lot of work from me!

Thanks for your note of encouragement.  It's good to know that others are in the same place that I am in.  I haven't lost a tremendous amount of weight as others have reported, but my claim to fame is that I've kept off most of it for over three years.  For me, that's major!

Please keep me posted on how you are doing.  Maybe we can work together to beat this thing!
