i am starting the 5 day pouch test today.  i have not been drinking my water as well as i should, ive been on my period and i feel so bloated and as if im holding water, which im sure i am with this time of month, but i woke up with the enthusiasm and determination, so im gonna roll with it!

i will be having my coffee in just a few minutes, then will go from there with full on liquids today. wish me luck, ive done this in the past and it really does get me back on track.  i will use it as an end of summer wake up!

i'll be checking in to let you all know how its going.  have a great day!

Good luck to you!  I really need to get myself back on track. Perhaps I should start this too.  I had surgery three years ago. Started out at 285 my lowest was 150, but 155 was normal. I am now 185

I know I have got to get back on track so tomorrow I plan on starting back at the gym.  I hope everything goes well for you over the next five days!

the 5DPT really helps cut carb cravings and helps you listen to your pouch again..i am 4 years out and am 25 pounds up from my lowest weight! its frustrating, but i know that i have not been following the "rules" ..so, its like a restart button for my brain.

thanks for the encouragement, i'll let you know how its going...so far, so good..ive had my coffee (20 oz), a protein shake with banana (10 oz) and 16 oz of h2o

Good luck. I have done the 5DPT  3 times and day #2 - was always the worse.

What is the 5day pouch test?  I had gastric sleeve 2 years ago today and am 10 pound up from my lowest and need to get back on track.

I am starting the 5 day pouch test tomorrow.  I am a carb-a-holic and don't tolerate meat at all.   So, I eat lots of carbs and very little meat.  All of my protein is yogurt, protein bars, milk, etc.  All higher calorie than a chicken breat!

So, I am up about 10 - 15 pounds.  Just sent two kids off to college today and figured once I get them out of the house I will get myself back on track.  There will be less eating out and generally easier to get on a schedule with just me, DH and two younger kids at home.

Hope your 5 days are successful !

I started the 5 day pouch test on Monday and right now I feel SOOOOO GREAT!! I feel like I have more control over myself and what I eat... this is just what I needed to get back on track :) I'm not going to say it was easy, but so far it has been so mentally worth it for me... GOOD LUCK
