Hey Guys
I am 3 yrs out this past June 12. I started at 340 lbs and went to a low of 215 which I was ecstatic over and felt great.
Over the passed yr or so I have started eating the wrong foods and snacking. The fact that I never dumped does not help.
ANy way fast forward 3 yrs and I am weighing in at 237 lbs.

I feel the difference walking up the stairs i feel my legs brushihg up against my belly.
I am no where near where I was before the surgery but this is how it starts I refuse to buy bigger clothes. That was always my indicator as i went up to a size 52 pant.

I went down to a 38 (very Snug) but have been comfortable in 40's which i hadnt seen since high school Now the 40's are feeling snug and I rewfuse to buy 42.
I must stop this insanity now !!!!!!!

I cant go bavcck to where I was I wont go back to where I was before.
ANyone have any tips pointers on this 5 day test I would be most appreciative.

Thanks for listening  as I have been in major denial anytime someone asks if I have put on some weight. it feels good to actually admit that i have gained and need to work it off.

Hi there!

I don't really have any tips, but just wanted to say that I, too, am starting the 5dpt today.  I had the RNY over 5 years ago, started at 265 and had a low of 145.  I now weigh 179, and as much as I'd like to blame it on having a baby (3 years ago!), I can't use that as an excuse.  I eat what I shouldn't, and feel I am really addicted to carbs.  I want to break the carb cycle and get back on track..

I feel your pain, and best of luck to you!

I did it 3 times so far. For me - second day was worse that the first.   Plan some activity for day 2 so you get distracted.

Also - make sure you get a good BM every day - it is important.
Once you start eating - eat very slow

hi BK!  today should be Day 2 for you on the 5DPT and i hope you are doing well.  i have used this "back to basics" program twice in the past and it has really worked well for me.  today, (Day 2) will be and was probably the worst day for you.  when i did it, it was headache day for me..the only advice i can give you is...DRINK DRINK DRINK ..like you've never drank before! lol
Day 3 will be easier..keep busy, walk, talk on the phone, wii ..whatever you can to keep your body busy and your mind off eating.  when i tried the program, i did it to cut the carb cravings and it worked!  but i also lost 12 pounds in those 5 days as bonus, so hope you are doing well, keep your head up and GOOD LUCK!!

hugs, dawn  :)
