Anyone used to HATE the beach/pool and now loves it?

Share your story.  I''m headed to the beach today with my 3 kids.  Pre surgery.......I used to hate it!  Read about it in my blog.

Well, maybe I don't love it yet but I don't fear it anymore either...It goes along with not fearing trying on bathingsuits too. Have a great time!

I have always loved the beach and pool but now I don't have to get all my clothes back on before I can walk to the bathroom. I stood in line at the food cart in my bathing suit last week just like everyone else. It has taken me 2 years to "grow into my skin". Only this Summer have I really started to feel like I look ok although the weight has been off since the Fall of 2007.
I think it really helps to find the perfect bathing suit. I used to just buy what was my size and affordable. I actually now have a bathing suit I love.

Yeah, I used to hate the beach and the pool and we live about 1 mile from 11 beaches and have a pool in the backyard, LOL! I always took the kids, but I was always miserable. Now I love it~live at the beach and the pool in the summer!!!!!!! I still don't wear a bikini, LOL, but I do have a few really cute swimsuits that I feel good in. Unfortunately, summer is short lived here in NW PA~3-4mths isn't nearly long enough for me!!!!!!!! Hope you and the kids had a good time!!!!!!!!
