Did an hour of zumba and am going for a walk now with dh and dd. I am feeling in a funk; not sure why. I am sure it will be gone in the morning. I am going to log later on daily plate. I want to keep my calories at 1200 the next few weeks and see if the scale will move. I am going on the 3rd of September for a resing metabolic rate, body fat analysis and a consult with a nutritionist. I really want to drop these last 20 or so pounds by my birthday; November 27th.
Mary
I'm interested in the resting metabolic testing and fat analysis. I may as my PCP about that..You exercise and zumba so much, I wouldn't be surprised if you don't have any body fat to lose!
Your list looks pretty good. I'm craving spaghetti now..LOL. Sounds like a nice trip to Portland. Keep up the good work...See ya.
Before Surgery: 214
Highest Weight: 240
Now: 125.6
Goal: 130
B1-light bread toasted with a slice of cheese
B2-2 eggs scrambled with cheese, few bites of potato's and slice of toast- plus 3 bites of hubby's french toast
S-corn on cob
L-1/2 turkey and cheese sand
D-protein bar
@ concert- 1/4 of hubby's pretzel, handful popcorn, and of course a margarita
So eating didn't go well, Not nearly enough protein and too much bread but Monday should be good.
I picked up some Slim-Fast lo carb shakes that NUT recommended 20g protein and
180 calories. I'm going to try to add one a day to up my calories and protein.
Breakfast actually isn't hard if you get over the potatoes. I gave them up and started eating cottage cheese instead of hashed browns. My trigger is...I don't like scrambled eggs so over medium is it or an omelet. Over medium eggs "require" toast to soak up the yolk...so I'm not having hashed browns but still having wheat toast..I'm okay with no french toast but...that yolk calls to me. Eating is such a mental thing!
I like the list! You did really well, given the activities...Keep up the good work. See ya.

I been in a funk. I have not been eating. I need to gain 20 lbs. I am in and out of the hospital almost every 2 weeks getting iv fluids and getting *****ed at for not drinking. Seems like I am drinking all the time. I was cussing the day I had gbs done. Most of the time I wish I had not done this to me. Tomorrow is my birthday and I am so scared I will die and not see my 45th. birthday. Both my kids are grown and moved out now so I am alone. My Mom died when she was 43 and I want to make it a long time. And if I don't get my ass in gear and eat I want see to many more days. I am about ready to just pack up and go to a nursing home. I can't take care of myself anymore. I pass out all the time. The hospital staff questioned me they thought someone beat me up. I passed out and fell into the bath tub. God help me.....
Amy
I know what you mean...My mom died at 36 and I really stressed getting past that day...And days near the day she died tend to get me into a bad funk.
The gbs was a means to an end intended to get you to a point that was "healthy" but the mental issues were never addressed before surgery. I know mine weren't...So I don't think the issue is the gbs, although, the whole mental issue of eating at all is just out of kilter..Before gbs you were eating too much to hurt yourself. Now you're not eating enough to hurt yourself...Seems to still be connected by the mental issues..Seems like not eating is more effective because of the gbs?
Keep eating. Keep living. I would personally throw all the gbs rules out the window at this point and eat whatever and however much you can all day long to gain that 20 pounds...High fat, high carb, high protein...whatever you can eat.

Had a really GOOD weekend, did lots of stuff, the best was helping oldest celebrate his b-day, we cooked special food, LOTS and did stuff he likes basically all day...Did not track my food on thedailyplate at all this weekend, looking back was not enough good choices ( probably why I didn't take time to put it down - Nothing like denial to get you thru a food fest

Anyway, the weight held steady, thats a great thing for my, I'm usually struggling with a 1-2lb gain every weekend - been working on that for about a month now and doing better...Still feel good about my results...
This week I will REALLY what my P's & Q's, exercise at the gym is not happening at all this week, too much planning going on in prep for our State Motorcycle Rally later this week...
Hope everyone has an AWESOME day...Will check in later and be back tomorrow with my list of foods...

Not having snacks between meals really brings my calories down. Just don't want them.
