I will be 2 years post op next week.....my highest weight before surgery was 277, 6 months after surgery, I reached my lowest weight of 176....99 lbs lost.... over the past year I have started gaining weight back, I got to 196 and about weeks ago decided I WOULD NOT BE A FAILURE....so i started back at my gym....7 weeks ago....and have been working out 5 times a week, sometimes for up to 90 minutes a day.....as of this morning, I  have gained 12 lbs.....weighed 208 this morning!!! OMG OMG what is going on??? and PLEASE....I can not take another 'muscle weights more than fat' remark.....7 weeks!!!!! I have cut my calories so much, that my nutrionist told me I was getting in about 600 calories too low for the amount of work I am doing.... 7 weeks!!!! and Didnt lose a freaking pound...AND NOT ONLY THAT, I GAINED!!! I can not even schedule my 2 year dr appointment, HE WILL FREAK!!!!!!
A current day for me is:
Up at 5, at gym at 6 am or a quarter till....work out until 7 or shortly thereafter....I have a protein shake before the work out....i am drinking 100 + ounces of water during the day, as my nutrionist said its a "MUST", I get a sausage burrito for breakfast, have a banana or blackberries later in the moring for snack.....eat a protein bar around 11 am, and for lunch, its almost always tuna, with low fat mayo, almonds, relish and a hard boiled egg mixed togeher with 4 whole grain crackers.....and dinner is whatever is for dinner......????? there is nothing wrong with this picture??

Not sure about the weight thing but I wish I had your big boobs. I am flat as a pan cake. I look like a boy. The nurse at the hospital the other day was a guy he kept trying to cover my boobs when he was working with me I told him not to worrie he had more boobies than I do. I am jealous.....

Hey Melissa, Have you had your thyroids checked lately? I know when mine were out of wack, everytime I stepped on the scale I gained weight and I wasn't eating anymore than normal.I gained 50 pounds in one year. This was before WLS. This could be the problem. Just what I thought it could be. Hope it get's better for you girl.
Hugs,
Susan

Thyroid check is very important.   About 6 years ago I discovered that I had autoimmune thyroid disease, because my internist checked my thyroid anitbodies.
Also, it appears that you are too young for menopause, but hormones can also wreak havoc on weight.  Regardless, you should see an internist, and probably an endocronologist...  that's just my two cents, and I am a doctor but not in medicine.  ;-)

how many g protein in supps do you take?, made how

how many g protein in animal protein do you eat?, not cheese or beans or rice... real stuff

how many g SUGAR are you getting per meal?, includes milk, fruit, what you'd call natural sugars

how many meals, how big, eaten over how much time?

was your surgery done open or lap?

got labs?

P.S.  My year + long absence has NOTHING to do with my WLS, or my type of WLS. See my profile.

Sounds like you have the exercise part of it.  That is awesome.  If I had to guess and if it is not your thyroid, I would say that maybe you are not getting enough of the right calories/nutrients.  Sometime when you are not taking in enough food your body goes into shut down mode.  It will not allow you to lose for fear of you starving yourself...I would consider this and cut carbs/up your protein and see where it takes you.  If you are still having this problem get in to see your doctor and have him do some blood work...something has to give.  Good luck!!  Sorry you are struggling...hang in there.

based on what you're saying-
It sounds like you're doing everything the way you should so- I'd think it's either something medical or your body struggling to keep up wioth the change. Hang in there- see your doc. Check those vitamins (didn't see anythign about vits on your post) and keep it up. You'll get through this!
