Accountability-Monday (a bit windy)
I took the day off specifically to spend it with my husband and son...It didn't start out a good day but it ended up not too bad. The cat we were taking care of for a month quit eating just before her owner came home and then he turned around and went camping..not sure what the deal is with that but the poor thing was alone again. Checked on her Sunday night..not good. Licked a bit of cat food juice off my finger but that was it. Checked on her Monday morning...dehydrated. That's a big deal with me as we lost one to Feline Urinary Syndrome..So called the vet, appointment at 9:30 am. Ran an errand at 8 am, rushed home, well choreographed..cat to the vet. It's estimated that the bill will be $644 or up to $944. Well, if it was my cat, I'd pay it. I'm just that way. Signed the bill, paid $322..Go home, do laundry, watch the postponed Nascar race and then head to the movies. I called the vet on the way home from the movies, Kyla has liver disease and they'll do a biopsy to determine how bad it will be but she's eating and alittle more chipper...Will cost $150 more and we'll have to move her. Called her owner..he's good with that decision. On the bright side, the movie was good. I didn't get my movie popcorn but friends of ours brought me garlic kettle corn from the Gilroy Garlic Festival last weekend..yummy stuff. Here's how my day went:
B (around 5:30 am): oatmeal, applesauce, tvp, soy milk
2B(about 10:30): 1/2 a chili cheese omelet (menu said 6 eggs!) 1/4 cup cottage cheese
L: at the movie theater at 2:30 pm: 1 large beef hotdog (no bun) and sauerkraut/mustard and french fries (about 10 of them)
S: about 5:00 pm 2 cups garlic popcorn (yum !)
D: (about 8pm) hard boiled egg and a serving of sugar free chocolate
Totals for the day:
Calories: 1713
Fat: 102.2
Carbs: 120.2
Protein: 91.3
What a crappy carby day! I was trying so hard to be conservative before the movie so I could have popcorn and then didn't have it until I got home...then I really blew it with the sugar free chocolate..Oh well. I did get in all my water and all my vitamins. Not so much exercise but enough stress to knock me out...Tomorrow, back to "normal" LOL.
I fell off the wagon...hit the floor..Tomorrow is the day I pick myself up and try it again..Iknow I'll pay when I step on the scale and those salty french fries are added in.. damn it.

B - spice cake protein shake with pb & banana blended in ( new mix of flavors, I like it

S - coffee with carb countdown and 3 dk choc covered almonds
S - 1 oz chicken breast left-overs, 4 thin slices ready-prep bacon & 1 lite mozz stick
L - 1/2 cup chicken salad, 4 asiago & garlic cheese crisps, and 1 lrg stalk of celery
S - 1/2" square of swiss with about 1/4oz strip of ham wrapped around it
S - protein coffee
S - 8 choc espresso beans ( afternoon was dragging )
D - 1/2 oz deli turkey, bite of muenster cheese & 8 shoestring french fries
S- small palm trailmix ( its almost gone
)

Low totals because my lunch was my 2 snacks and I didn't' get to eat my frozen dinner for lunch like I had planned.

I do not like watching other peoples pets, we watched our neighbors bird and it died the day after they left! Glad to hear the kitty is feeling better. Garlic kettle corn sounds interesting, I will have to try some.I had an o.k day on Monday, back to work after a week off and it was not too much of a mess.
B-1/2 waffle-my day nurse brought in a waffle iron and made waffles for everyone. I ate half while she was with me and tossed the other half.
L-1/2 chicken ceasar wrap and a sf cookie
S-other half of wrap
S-100 calorie chex mix
S 100calorie turkey jerky
D-salad, teriyaki chicken and a few bites of rice
S-none, ate dinner at 7:30
all my water, iron, vitamins, missed my calcium. I was going to do Zumba but it was cancelled as only three of us showed up and the instructor was tired. I had a nice run with my husband instead. We ran outside even though it was in the high 80's. Almost got bit by a stupid dog. aady on the trail had not one but three dogs she could hardly keep control of on their leashes. I love dogs, especially our lab Rosie but I would not endanger other people and take her out if she was aggressive.

I would have left my pets with him before I'd leave them at another kennel. After losing my beloved Petey at the kennel when we went to Hawaii...it's just too stressful. They're more comfortable at home. We should have left Kyla at her own house and visited her once a day, I think.

I know what you mean. We've had dogs that were killed by other dogs and and we've had dogs we didn't even realize had "problems" with other dogs..It really pays to know your own animals.
