Well, It's hard to believe it has been 6 years. I still come here often to see what is going in but I don't post much.
6 years ago I was a scared newbie wondering if I could do this.
Today I am maintaining pretty well. I did gain about 10 pounds this year after stress eating while grieving my mom's death.
3 weeks ago I decided it was easier to lose 15 lbs now than it would be to lose 50 if I keep letting in go so I joined weigh****cher online and it is helping me to keep on task with my food consumption. I weighed 130 this morning, a loss of 6 pounds in the 3 weeks.
Life is so much better than it was 6 years ago and being thin has really helped me gain self confidence.
To all you newbies and oldbies, keep going it is so worth it!

Congrats on your continued maintenance! And I'm really glad you were able to dig in your heels and lose that last 15 lbs...

Losing a loved one is hard and a very mental journey. We are all there or have been there. Again, congrats.
Yes, RNY worked for me but it also requires a lot of work from me!

Happy Anniversary Kaye, congrats on getting back on track.  I'm planning to do that myself this weekend with fitday and pre-cooking my food for next week.

Glad to hear you have lost 6 lbs of the regain quickly, I'm hoping I can do it too.

I'm a little over a year out and have more to go to reach my goal but I wanted to ask you a question.

In my many attempts to lose and keep weight off, I did (although 29 years ago) attain WW Lifetime Member status.  I haven't been back there for 5 years and if I do want to go back to keep on task with food, did you tell your group you had WLS?  I have heard that WW can be rather unfriendly to WLS patients.

Hearing this gives me hope that this can be done--you are an inspiration.  I wanted to go to this board because I wanted to see perspectives of those as far out as you.

 --the journey continues

Hi Sylvia,
I am doing the weigh****chers online (It was less that half the cost), so I 'm sorry I don't know how people react to you having had surgery. I feel like if people are not friendly about it, it is because of jealousy but if that is the case it is probably OK not to tell them.
I love weigh****chers because it is helping me to know how much I can eat, that was my problem.
Continued success to you on this wonderful journey.
Kaye
