In our local support group there are many who have gained between 30 and 50 pounds back after they either reached goal or close to it. They have gone back to basics and to the rules they followed early out and it seems to be working.

I am too afraid to test the waters so I'm sticking with the rules and basics from the get go. I have evened out and gone up about 5 pounds since my 11 month check up (two years ago) and fluctuate up and down about 2 pounds occasionally but whatever the issue, we're here to cheer you on and encourage you...
Yes, RNY worked for me but it also requires a lot of work from me!

I am 4 years out and still watch everything I eat. I keep it under 1000 calories a day. I am anorexic so most of the time I either don't eat or keep it under 500 calories. I too am scared of putting on to much weight. I bounce up and down 5 lbs.

yes I know how you feel also ,but the 5 day pouch test I tried & I lost but when I eat again it came back ,I am really going to try hard to get it off by watching what I eat but boy it is so hard I have never been a dieter or one to stick to one so I know this is a lifestyle change one day at a time is what I say ,best of luck

Maggie, I'm up 12 lbs and just cannot seem to make a commitment to get it off.  This is so hard at this stage of the game.

I'm working on getting my menus put together so I can plan.  That's key for me (I believe) and logging every little morsel of food I put in my mouth.

Hi.

I had WLS 5/25/05.  I started at 374 pounds, got down to 161 pounds and regained to 206 pounds.  I have joined Weigh****chers, so far so good...I am now at 198 pounds.  Weigh in tomorrow, had a great week, hoping for results.

Let my guard down, went through a lot of life altering events, better for it...but ate out of stress/emotions, old habits die hard!!

Good luck!

Shaun
