My pcp has been GREAT about documenting rashes, etc and tells me I'm ready to pursue plastic surgery; I have also been diagnosed recently with 3 herniated disks in my lower back; which she tells me will be more beneficial in insurance covering my plastics, more so than rashes, etc.
What I'm looking for are anyone that has been through the process already, what they did to get insurance coverange, if anyone has been fortunate enough to get their batwings covered, as well!  I need ALOT of work!  Help!!!

Michelle

you should probably post your quest on the plactic surgery board.  i had TT, BL and my arms done.  My insurance did not pay.  I did not really have much rashes, etc.

Good luck with the insurane  and surguries.  I am so glad I had my work done even if I did have to pay for it.

Sorry no luck in getting my plastics covered....  but that was 3 years ago.  Had vracioplasty done on both arms and large volume liposuction.  The procedure cost me more than $10,000 but was worth every penny.  Had to take out a loan to cover everything and would do it again in a heart beat.

I had a TT and had the lower hanging skin that was covering my private part taken care of.
Had LOTS of skin hanging I just kept pics of the rashes and went to a dermatologist and he wrote a letter to my insurance that if nothing was done soon that I would end up in the hospital
off and on with infections from the open wounds  and that was all it took for them to pay for everything..So my words to you are to take pics and make sure you have all your docs on the same page when you go to the insurance company...

I recently had a lower body lift and breast lift. I never experienced any rashes or skin problems so I self-paid. I figured I was willing to pay for my gastic bypass if I didn't get it covered. I did...so I put that money towards the plastics. One good thing I can say about this economy is that the surgeon's fees were almost cut in half from my intial visit by the time I decided to finally do it. Plastic surgeons are really hurting. Now might be the time to get it done. Good luck.
