Our surgery dates are pretty close, and the same thing happened to me. I really haven't eaten a lot of bad food, just too much food period. I didn't realize how much I was eating until I started watching. I've also lost 3 pounds this week. I hope we lose another 3 next week.

You are not alone with getting off track. The past year I have steadily increased my daily intake and have been taking in too many calories and the pounds have been slowly creeping on. I have gained 15lbs from my lowest weight  It has to stop, but I am having great difficulty cutting out the extra calories. I know I need to start tracking my food intake again and get moving.

You are doing great, I will be watching your progess and cheering you on. Yes YOU CAN DO IT!

Glad you are getting back into the swing of things. Good luck. You can do this. I am 4 years out and can still loose. So I know you can do this. Post what you are eating with Dawn. She post everyday. It helps me to see what others are eating.

Absolutely the best way to get on track is to know where you are and that means journaling your food for at least a little while. I like to because I know even when I don't actually do it, I'm so used to the serving sizes that I stay on track without journaling...for a while.

After a while we all let the portions creep up...I think it's normal. And it's normal for the body to want more and more as the stomach stretches out..

I drink alot of water because I'm never sure that the signals for hunger aren't really thirst...I think that's normal too.
Yes, RNY worked for me but it also requires a lot of work from me!
