Pain Around Belly Button?

I am four years out and over the past five days, I have had a pain just to the left of my belly button with some discomfort after eating and a throw-up episode Friday. 

I saw someone on the May 2005 board post about something similar that ended up being the intestine looped around the bowel (or vice versa.)   Any insight or similar experience? 

I have a call in to my doc, but in the meantime ....

Yes. I would believe that it's reason for concern. If I had those symptoms, I'd be calling and if they didn't get back right away, into urgent care..Nothing to screw with four years out..

I'm 4 yrs out also...about 8 mons. ago I started to have severe pain in same area, I waited 2 months thinking it would disappear. About 6 months a go I saw my bariatric surgeon since what I explained he felt from description it may be abdominal hernia. After examining me it was my belly button cord which was right behind the new belly button that was made during my tummy tuck. Felt like it was being pulled on the inside all the time. I had it 8 mons and a week after I saw my surgeon it resolved itself. I have not had any pain since he examined me.

Did you find out what it was? I am having the same thing, but not really pain, a knot. My port is on the right and this is on the left.

It was a hernia.  I had it repaired a month ago - quick, in and out procedure.

Get yours checked out.
