Accountability - Sunday
Boy, I'm losing it. I didn't even put my food down on fitday yesterday until early this morning..I need a longer weekend. LOL
List for the day:
B: oatmeal, tvp, soy milk, applesauce
2B: 2 eggs, cottage cheese
L: 2 small flour tortillas, 3 oz ground beef (ccoked), 1 slice muenster cheese
D: 5 oz chicken dark meat, 3 french fries and a part of a slice of whole grain homemade bread (it was horrible)
Back to the same old grind Monday...That's definitely depressing.
Totals for the day:
Calories: 1611
Fat: 72.3
Carbs: 113.0
Protein: 128.0
I'm on track and right on the numbers but I'm just draggin ass this morning. AND I have to go to work. How depressing..blah.
How did you do Sunday?

Yes, RNY worked for me but it also requires a lot of work from me!

Hey Dawn,
I'm back at work too, but is WAS nice having a 3-day weekend for July 4th...yesterday ( Sunday) was my low-carb kick off - you remember, I'm shaking of the bad carbs and shooting to dump off the 10lbs of bounce-back I've been carrying around for over a year now...The first few days are always the easiest for me, it gets harder to keep the motivation to follow a stricter food plan when I don't have immediate gratification; but, I know from my past after reaching goal that if I just stick to it I CAN make it happen
...
B - sf nf pumpkin pie latte
L - pb & banana protein shake ( got a new powder, tastes like a pb cookie, yummo )
S - 1 prune
D - 2 italian chicken sausages with 1/4 cup portici mushroom spaghetti sauce & 1 cup caesar
salad
S - 6 salted cashews
Water / Crystal lite - 120 oz Cals - 830 Fat - 32 NetCarbs - 54 Protein - 78
Going to have to work on getting the cals & protein a little higher while keeping the carbs down, it will take a little juggling - for now just satisfied to keep the carbs low...

Very good! no white carbs at all in that list...How does it feel? Pretty darn good, I bet..And all tha****er! You did really well for the first day...congrats.
Now tweeking should be easy. Maybe with that prune, a half ounce of beef jerky? Some protein with that pumpkin pie latte? Vanilla would work good with that...

I like my coffees super hot - can you suggest a powder that does not clump up when it gets hot? All the one's I've tried in the past turn disgusting in texture when you add HO****er...I know you can go warm and be OK cuz that is how I do my cocoa but if the water is boiling hot mine always get clumpy...Thanks

I think soy would work. I'll give it a try tomorrow with my coffee but..l also have a recipe for breakfast drink that includes ice (crushed), espresso powder, chocolate protein powder, soy milk and ground up oatmeal...now, THAT'S a meal! I like my coffee hot mostly too but for breakfast..I feel like I'm missing something without protein..

I did try the soy protein in the coffee last night...Hottest coffee I could get straight from the coffee maker...didn't clump. I was trying iced coffee protein and oatmeal in a shake on Wednesday morning and it was GOOD...
I didn't like the taste too much of the soy just in the coffee so I'm thinking hot coffee, caramel syrup (sugar free) with a cup of soy milk, blended and that would make a decent latte with the chocolate soy protein...It might be yummy. that may be my next favorite cold weather drink. Right now, with the weather as hot as it is hot coffee isn't so yummy but a nice iced coffee works for me and any protein would work in that.
