wow, this forum is
I'm not sure what the issue is. Carla W used to post accountability each day and I checked back to August 2007 when I was first involved...between one day and the next there were 5 or 6 posts about other topics that grads are interested in..There are still posts, just not nearly as many.
About three months ago on the RNY board someone posted that they came here and were so shocked that everyone here seems to have massive gain back and they wanted to stay away like the plague...I figure those who still have issues, hang around. Those who don't have issues, find life outside the internet message boards. I stay because I've made friends and like helping with the listings. AND I get alot of ideas on food.
For whatever reason, there are fewer and fewer posts. Like the recipe board (which I had no idea was even there) it's hard to get to many boards with the new configuration unless you have it marked as a favorite.

Yes, RNY worked for me but it also requires a lot of work from me!

I think as graduates we are busier and do not post as often as in the beginning. The washington board i**** and miss, sometimes alot of posts and sometimes not. I like the accountability thread. I look forward to it at night and I look forward to reading everyones responses in the morning at work on a break, I lurked for years before I ever posted regularly.
I do not feel it is dominated by anyone and I cannot remeber anyone being snotty in any posts on this board, everyone is very respectful.

Hey Darlene, glad you're doing well! I hardly ever read the Cali board, are you still active on it? Didn't you move? I don't remember you being in Exeter. Where is that?
It's really sad that no one posts to the Grad board anymore. I noticed a big drop in posting when R&R took off. I also think a lot of people went to the BOTT board. Between those boards and Life, most of the old people are gone. Dawn and Kay do a great job with the accountability thread. If it wasn't for those two, this forum would really be gone.
I got laid off after 23 years at AT&T in February. Monday I moved to Scottsdale. My best friend's brother died today-- Cancer. We grew up next door to each other, our Mothers were also BFFs--although they never heard that term. I'm in the process of getting insurance approval for an ERNY. Being "Semi-retired" is too much work-- I need to get a job!

Hey Michele,
Yes, I've moved a couple times since the last time I was here, I am somewhat active on the Cali board, not as much as I am on the Over 50 board.
Exeter is in the same area that I use to live, between Fresno and Bakersfield. I lost a job in 2007 that I had for 5 years, then was unemployed for 1 whole year, finally got on at Cigna (nightmare) and spent 8 months there. I am now working at one of the biggest hospitals in our area, I am in Medical Staff Services working with all the docs...
I'm thinking the board here sort of took a turn to slowness with DX, Tek, Joanne and a bunch of us left here....it's just so strange to see who the grads are now...
Sorry to hear about your moms friend....
What's an ERNY? anything like a revision?
