Accountability - Saturday
What a Saturday! I hope evyerone had as much fun as I did..Went to Eric Burdon (spelled right this time) but also saw a tribute to Jim Morrison and the Doors by a group called Peace Frog. Now those guys were GREAT! The Animals, however, not so much. Meh. I guess it's right what Ricky Nelson sang in "Garden Party." He didn't look the same and he sure didn't sound he same, which was a shame. All the old people there (I swear, they cleared out all the senior centers for this one) were all singing the songs. I guess if you couldn't hear it and were singing over it, Eric was alright. I know with the beer flowing like it was, no one really cared.
List for Saturday:
B: oatmeal, tvp, soy milk, dried strawberries and a protein scoop
2B: 2 fried eggs, 1/3 cup cottage cheese and 1 slcie wheat toast
L: 1/2 cup refried beans, 1/2 cup cooked lean ground beef, 1 slice provolone cheese
Snack: 1 package SF Peeps (from Easter, I have tons!)
Dinner: 4 oz ribeye steak, 1/4 medium baked potato with sour cream and butter
Totals for the day:
Calories: 1693
Fat: 73.9
Carbs: 140.5
Protein: 128.8
Now I see the carbs were high. I bet if I had had those carbs later in the day, say right before the concert, I wouldn't have frozen to death! It was about 50 degrees but the wind kicked up...I was shivering and my teeth were chattering. It took me for EVER to warm up. Got home, turned the electric blanket on, flannel, sweats, socks...I think I finally quit shivering about midnight. My neck still hurts from shivering so badly!
Other than that small case of hypothermia, I did okay. LOL.
How did you do?

Yes, RNY worked for me but it also requires a lot of work from me!

WOW..I thought I saw about 1/3 those calories yesterday...But, no matter. One day didn't lose any wars..battles are small but whole wars are not one day long.
You'll do wonderful tomorrow. See ya.

Hey Dawn.
Good to hear you had such a great Saturday. My presentation went ok. I was super nervous. A lot of people were really interested to her my story... lots of tears.
After the presentation, My daughter and I went shopping at Target and Ross. Then we came home and watched a movie and hung out of the couch all evening.
My good eats...
B: Protein Shake
L: 6" Ham & Turkey sub from subway
S: EAS RTD Protein shake
D: 2 Cheese Enchiladas & 1/2 cup of refried beans
S: Boiled egg
Carbs a little high but I'm satisfied with my totals. I'm going to a party this evening so tonight's totals may not be as good.

I can imagine you were very nervous. It's never easy to get up in front of people. Somehow, there's a switch inside my brain and that initial fear I can manage to get past that and just be the clown that I am normally..I'm such an attention ***** My boss asked me to do a presentation about my genealogy once and it was suppose to last an hour..Because I was talking about something I was passionate about, I talked for two hours..I was scared to death to start but once I got started, I just didn't want to stop..attention ***** (class clown), comedian. That's me.
Did your daughter get to see your presentation?
Shopping and then movies is my idea of a perfect weekend or day off. Today, I'm recovering from all that shivering and sitting around watching the Nascar race (and sewing curtains...and doing laundry) so I'll be ready to go back to work tomorrow.
You did awesome. Nevermind about the extra stuff from a party..it's not like you party every night so...you deserve a break today (no burger like in the commercial but have a good time!)
See ya.

Sounds like we are all busy having fun on Saturday. I do not know about the rest of you but how I spent saturday would not have happened 100 pounds heavier.
My family is very gald I do not have any more SF Peeps; the sugar alcohols do not agree with me.
I ran my first 12 K onSaturday with three other people from my running group. Took a few short walk breaks but ran more of it than I thought I would.
Pre run-1/2 100 cal wheat english muffin w/ 1/2 T almond butter and a RTD EAS proetein drink
Post run-6 oz gatorade, banana, other half of muffin w/ almond butter
L-1/2 chicken quesidilla with slasa and dollop of sour cream
S-Kettle corn
D-fresh spring roll, vietnamese crepe( eggs fried flat like a crepe and filled with meat and vegetables)
S-small slice ice cream cake for my nephews 15th birthday
S-I had something and cannot remeber what, might have been baked chips and a string cheese.
I am not sure that was all but all I can remember. I tried to keep busy the rest of the day so I would not be stiff today, I feel pretty good. I know I got all my water in and then some but messed up fpr the first time in week s on my iron and such. I am back on track for today!

WOW...cool! With that 12 K run, you needed all the calories and carbs you could find. Good job. It's all about doing it and then doing it again, better the next time.
I know what I did Saturday wouldn't have happened 100 pounds ago. I remember distinctly, as I sat there shivering, with 100 extra pounds, I'd have been warm. LOL. I wouldn't go back on a BET!
I know the SF Peeps were not the best choice but I was counting on being in the wind and not having to excuse myself to have the effects..LOL. That noxious Peeps gas really kills people, especially family. I'm sure before I run out of them, the family will be trying to hide them from me!
Good job! Sundays and Mondays make the BEST do over days. Keep up the good work. See ya
