Post- baby weight
Hello eveyone,
I have a question... i am 3 years post-op and had a baby 3 months ago... I lost 20 lbs immediately and still have 20 more to get down to my prepreg weight of 165... My body WILL NOT give up any more weight.... I have been using fitday religiously for 2-3 weeks now and have been really good about eating.. I average 1600- 1800 cal a day... I focus on protein first then vegetable and fruits.... my breads are whole grain with lots of fiber... carbs average about 150/ day and protein is anywhere from 80- high of 110... i am having 3 meals and 2 snacks... good news is my pouch is back to being tight again... pregnancy hormones loosened it up...
I have started back to exersize... elliptical and treadmill... trying to get 200-300 cal burned from that...
I drink minimum of 2 liters water a day.... but i am drinking coffee now.. 2-3 cups a day...
I take all my vitamins...
My weight will not budge from 183- 184 for the past 3 weeks...
I hope i gave enough information so maybe someone could give me some suggestions...
thank you for your help..
jessica

Congratulations on your baby!
I think you have to be patient. At 165 and1700 cal. you will lose slowly. I go to weigh****chers and they tell me 1/2 lb a week on the average is good. After the first 20 lbs. you body is probably holding on. Be thankful you can feel your pouch and it is helping you.
I had 4 kids. I weighed 165 when I got married. I was a diabetic with PCOS. I was on fertility meds, pregnant, nursed, fertility meds, pregnant, nursed....etc. When my last daughter quit nursing I weighed 276 lbs and my diabetes was totally out of control. It took 20 years to lose all the weight my body was a disaster. Then I gained back 30 lbs and had a RNY. Then I lost that same 30 lbs and then gained back 65 lbs. this winter. I am on Weigh****chers chugging it off again. I went on only lean protein and veges (except I lost it yesterday) and I lost 8.9 lbs. last week! I probably won't lose this week but as long as it is going down rather than up I have to grateful because I have an enlarged stoma. Not a lot I can do about it. Pax et bonum, Daisy
