Wow..What a day. I woke up with a killer sore throat. Didn't like the way it felt when I swallowed all day long. And my ear hurts. sigh, coming down with something. We got the cabinet for the kitchen and installed it with the counter top. Now I'm thinking about the curtains...I've got great ideas for that but I'm really really tired..I ate too much and worked too much..Just tired.

List for the day:

B: oatmeal, tvp, soy milk, strawberries

2B: 3 egg omelet with ortega chilis and cheese, cottage cheese

L: I had a grilled sandwich: 4 oz chicken breast, 2 slices provolone cheese, alittle spaghetti sauce

Snack: sugar free chocolate, a couple of them

D: a taco made of lean ground beef, cheese and a flour tortilla

Dessert: Protein cake, strawberries and sugar free cool whip.

Totals for the day:
Calories: 1973
Fat: 91.9
Carbs: 138.8
Protein: 157.9

Now I'm headed off to bed...Too tired to keep my eyes open.

How did you do?

Hope you are feeling better today, sore throats and earaches are the pits! My duaghter is on Antibiotics now for another ear infection. Remodeling is fun! I had a busy day! I was up at 6;30 to get ready for my first 10K. I had a horrible time 1:18. It was hilly and I walked for shport periods of time a few times but am looking forward to improving my time. I hurried home to shower and get ready for church. I would of skipped but was subbing in Sunday Shool for kindergardeners. My legs felt tight so  Ii took the kids outside for a walk to look for God's gifts outside. They hauled in dirt, leaves, twigs, pine cones and several bugs. Went home and rested a bit then went to Zumba. I woud of skipped that as well but had promised my daughter to take her to the Y with a friend and feel silly just sitting there. Cam ehome made dinner and put away laundry. I am off to bed in a few minutes. I am up early again to volunteer at the cardiac pool in the morning at the Y. I am dreading returning to work but will take it one day at a time and just push through all the yuck I have been putting off.
Pre run=Designer Whey protein drink with water- out of light soy milk
B-scrambled eggs w cheese and 100 cal english muffin( 8GM fiber) with butter and SF jam
L-WW chicken Marsala and brocoli-yuck will not buy that one again and an eng;ish muffin
D-hamburger gravy on a english muffin
S reduced sugar brownie and SF hot chocolate with reddi whip
Plenty of exercise and water and all my vitamins, calcium and such! I am on a roll with this lately!
I may have forgotten something I ate but cannot remember, oh well.

Alot of times when I volunteer to do things it happens that it's the only motivation for me to get moving. I'm sitting home today to get completely over the sore throat..Still house cleaning and doing odd repair jobs. I glued down some loose tiles in the hall and doing some laundry too. Not like I have to cuz I have enough clothes to last me at least a month without washing anything (other than underwear. LOL)

You really do alot for the stuff that you eat. I missed alot of water and somehow I'm two days behind on my vitamins. Today is my day to catch up on all sorts of things...Your Sunday sure inspires me!

You do such an awesome job. Keep up the good work...see ya.

And I've been staying away from the Mc Cafe because I was sure they didn't have sugar free...Maybe I'll give them a try in the morning..hmm.

Unplanned eating happens. Today I don't have my email to tell me when and what I eat and it's going to be a challenge to get the water in. I'm really bad at that. I only got two bottles at all yesterday...bad Dawn..LOL. I'll catch it up today.

Steamed cabbage and bacon. Sounds like a corned beef and cabbage combo that would be really good. Does it take long to cook? I'm thinking ham might work (and be smoky too).

The Mc Cafe looks sooo good but I know it's loaded with sugar so I was thrilled when someone told me about the Vanilla Sugar Free Iced Coffee.  It's really good.

Steamed cabbage cooks very fast. I tried to cook it with turkey bacon to "lighten" it up a little but it was horrible!

I just chop the cabbage, onions, green bell pepper and bacon. Saute the bacon and veggies for a few minutes. Then stir in the chopped cabbage. season it with season salt and black pepper. Let it cook on low so the water does not evaporate and it steams. YUMMY lol

Good morning everyone:
Sounds like Dawn and Mary got so much done yesterday.  Remodeling and 10K and Zumba and Sunday school!  I'm tired thinking about it.  Kay it sounds like you had a great food day.  Dawn I hope you feel better.  Thanks again for running this post.  It really helps me.

I sang at church in the morning and went to my club to swim my lengths in the afternoon.  Then I went grocery shopping.  With my husbands new gluten allergy it was label reading for 2 hours.  Dinner and a movie finished off our day.

Again no appetite and no blood sugar crashes.  I didn't even have a snack last night and I 'm still not hungry this morning.

B:2 T buckwheat flour, egg and 1/4 c fat free cottage cheese (power pancake)
L:spinach salad with celery, green beans and 4 walnuts and a chicken brat
S: 2 oz beef
D: 1 oz beef and 3 oz chicken breast, huge lettuce salad, 1/2 c mushrooms and green beans

Yeah, any sort of food allergy makes you read labels. ALOT! I think I'm going to have to read my hair conditioner label. I have a patch of rash in the middle of my back and it seems to itch worse after I use my Pantene conditioner...The thought occurred to me last night (while in the shower and no reading glasses handy) that there might be walnut oil in it...allergic to tree nuts and walnut oil would close my throat...who is to say that wouldn't cause a rash on my skin too...Your post just reminded me!

My schedule is off today and so usually I have my breakfast of oatmeal and such and drive to work with my water and have cheese and lunch meat as a snack when I get there. No water bottle from 7 to 8 and just sat down for the cheese and meat because....I'm shakey...I think maybe too much activity this morning has my blood sugar low...So I"m on the computer for longer than I would be normally..You did awesome. From the list, the protein was quite high!

Good work. Keep it up! See ya.

Hi Girls ( and any guy lurkers out there too! )

I was jammin' all weekend, got tons accomplished and the house is now "visitor ready" even my kids rooms ( boy were they hatin' mom, nag, nag  nose to the grindstone )...Sunday was much better than Saturday's food and I felt much better at the end of the day, it amazing how I FEEL the difference, now,  in my body when I feed it a day of junky food vs. pre-surgery when all day every day was filled with junk...

Hope today is better for you Dawn, sometimes, we just go and go and drain all our reserves, then really feel the drain...Now that its Monday and you are back on a routine you'll probably start to feel better + you'll be back to getting in plenty of fluids which helps fight off sickness by flushing your body...

Now for Sunday's food :

B - 4oz fried plantains & 2 slices crispy bacon

L - Starbucks, venti sf nf chocolate praline mocciato & 1 petite vanilla bean scone

S - 1 1/2oz boneless, skinless fried chicken & 1 sm chocolate chip cookie

D - bulgogi ( Korean ribs) on the grill , 1/4 cup steamed white rice & 1/2c steamed broccoli
       and cauliflower blend

S - 7 honey roasted peanuts

Water/crystal light  118oz                       Cals - 1065     F - 39     NetCarbs - 93     Protein - 85

The plantains where carb heavy but sooo tasty and a special treat since I rarely eat much fruit (got them off the store clearance 5 big ones, just $1, usually cost almost this much for just one )

Hope everyone has a fantastic day ... Alesia 5'5"   136lbs

I controled the urge to steam clean my son's room while he was gone. So, of course, it still smells. I'm thinking next weekend on that room! Yeah, he complains too. wah wah wah. I just tell him, call child protective services. I'd get a medal for just going IN that room! LOL.

Plantains sound good but I can't get past the way they look like bananas..fried bananas with bacon...maybe. LOL. Now with you and Kay and those lists from your Sunday, I have lots of choices for making dinner tonight...Lots of cool ideas for meals.

Your list was still good...and your numbers were really good. Keep up the good work. See ya
