Accountability - Wednesday
Me too! I still have a snack of deli meat wrapped around a cheese stick. I cut bread completely out for a long time. Now I have alittle occasionally but it's to sort of even out the carb/protein percentages...It's an experiment that I don't recommend to anyone who is newly out..
Yes, RNY worked for me but it also requires a lot of work from me!

Hey all you food posters
It's almost the weekend ( just a little stretch)...Dawn, congrats on keeping your protein to carb ratio on target for your goal, it's harder than people think, this food planning thing...I've been noticing that you have a gap in your food and drinks in the late afternoon before dinner, I'm sure this is caused travel time home from work and dinner prep, what I want to know is how do you keep from nibbling during this time??..It is definately my most hazardous time of day, when I prepping dinner and it is cooking I'm most likely to reach for a unplanned snacky...

I've wondered myself. That caffeinated drink in the afternoon has me up and moving around delivering mail to the different departments. Moving..I get ansy so I stay busy. The further I stay from the snacks, the better during that time!
I drive home from 4:30 to about 5:15 and just drink during that time. I'm so conditioned to drink water while I drive that if I forget my water, I stop the car and GET water...I get dry mouth (head thirst) like crazy if I don't have my water while I'm driving. Wheels turn: I drink.
You just have to find your own solutions to times when you have head hunger. Fixing dinner is a hard time. dh makes me dinner so I don't even have to go in there but even when I fix my breakfast I want to snack so I stuff a sublingual B-12 in my mouth. Maybe gum would help you when you're in the kitchen. I know when I was baking at christmas it helped me. Nothing worse than trying to lick your fingers when you have gum in your mouth! LOL.
Good numbers. And great carb numbers. Keep up the water, you're doing awesome!
