Yup. Another month, another day! That's a great way to look at it. No matter what happens, you have do overs each and every day. Keep trying. If you give up, it's just admitting that you can't and you all know YOU CAN!

7:00 am 24 oz Drink Mix, Pink Lemonade
9:10 am 1 oz mozzarella cheese stick, 1 pc roasted turkey breast deli meat
9:45 am 24 oz Drink Mix, Fruit Punch
11:15 am 1/2 chicken quesadilla
12:30 pm 24 oz Drink Mix, Grapefruit Caffeinated
2:30 pm 24 oz Drink Mix, Wild Strawberry
3:15 pm 1 hardboiled egg
4:00 pm 24 oz Drink Mix, Orange

Totals for the day:

Calories: 1065
Fat: 42.1
CArbs: 72.5
Protein: 100.8

What just happened here? I wasn't hungry at all, all day long..And yet, I didn't have enough calories. I think maybe I need some fruit for dessert today. Or maybe some ice cream. Not sure but I sure have room for it!

How did you do?
Yes, RNY worked for me but it also requires a lot of work from me!

Hi ladies
Well I spent way too much time on the computer today.  Every time I ate I logged onto fitday and then peeked in to see what was going on here.  I did get my swimming and some cleaning done though.  This is day 5 of my carb fast.  I just can't believe that I had no, nada, none of those low blood sugar episodes again today.  I didn't realize how many and how bad they were getting.  I have been offering up my denial of carbs as penance and maybe my reward is peace.
I am sure that weight loss will follow but I am grateful not to be on that blood sugar roller coaster ride.  When people talk about it, unless you've been there, it must be hard to understand.

B:2 oz turkey breast and 1 sl fat free cheese
S:spinach salad, green beans, mushrooms, 1 T sunflower seeds, 2 oz chicken breast, 1/4 c mozzarella cheese
L:1/2 c fat  free cottage cheese and baby carrots
S:chicken brat
D: 2 oz chicken breast, celery and 1 T fat free mayo
S: romaine, 1 T sunflower seeds, 1 hard boiled egg and 1 T fat free mayo

calories: 987 and 46 carbs.

RNY on 03/30/04 with
Daisy! I have low blood sugar episodes that sent me to the doctors. it was NOT fun extremely scarey.
long story how they became to be lets say it was my fault.
either way for the past 10 months i've been working hard to get myself with my doctors care back to something close to normal.
i dont' have to eat every half hour now! i can go for 3 hours inbetween my meals/snacks.
NO more decaf coffee - i did not know that there is still some cafeine in it which messed me up big time.
NO more artifical sweeteners. except for stevia thats the only one that doesn't make my body think its had sugar and go into an LBS episode.
Good carbs only. and i always eat them with protein.
Excersize daily.
doesn't all of this seem like stuff i should have been doing? yup but I wasn't.
i feel pretty good now, i'm very careful. what i did not know was that if you do not care for your LBS it can lead into type 2 diabetes something i do not want. Not to mention passing out, confusion, pain  in odd parts of my body, meanness lik eyou would not believe! it was effecting my job and relationships with family. plous i was so tired i couldn't get moving at all. then the dizzyness. forget the dancing that i love no spins on the dance floor or i'd BE on the dance floor!
pus i went to a naturalist doctor who did extensive blood work found out that my thyroid wasn't right. it showed up on my surgeions tests but he thought it was fine. even though i had a ton of thryoid issues. also the naturalist doctor did blood work on my Vitmin D the extensive test that they dont' normally do. Very low for that too. Ditto with the B12.
when this first happened becasue the only way to counteract the LBS was to eat i gained 10 pounds. so now i am 20 pounds over weight. at my highest before surgery i was 300 at surgery was at 276 lowest was 157 for a week! but i maintained at 169 for a few years. after my fourth year i flucuated between 169 to 173 now i am at 182.
now that the LBS is regulated i am fighting the weight loss fight. I want to be back in my skinny jeans. I did not give myself a date to do it by i'm just working hard to eat right excersize and keep the LBS under control along with watching the calories.
whew big job ahead huh?
i saw you had some issues with LBS. hope all is well.

We're all human on this planet and even though we have had surgery to re-arrange our insides, it does nothing to fix our brains. Old habits die hard and eating is such a habit..

Be sure if you get high protein to get alot of water. High protein is hard on your kidneys without it, but you already know that, I'm sure.

If you have Celiac, the absorption is the issue with the vitamins. When you get that under control, the vitamins should help. Just really watch the labels cuz the less glutten you consume, the more sensitive you will be to it. Just the stuff in sauces can make that blister in my throat bigger..

Hi Pam
Yesterday I wrote "my story".  If you care to read it you may.  I have type 1 and 2 diabetes already but have traded up to hypoglycemia about 6 months after surgery.  I am not sure if I have been passing out.  I have fallen many times.  My dog barks when I am going hypoglycemic because she has learned I eat and drop food when I am shaking.  I swim daily which makes me less resistant to insulin and also causes my blood sugar to fall.  I have had a 21 and a 27.  Frequently 50s and 60s.  It is an adventure.  Dasiy

I'm so glad you haven't crashed! Yes, fitday and the computer can be addictive. Since I sit in front of a computer all day for my job, I can pop into fitday often. And I send myself emails of what I eat and when. For me it works because I have continual access to my computer for 9 hours a day. I just send the list home to my personal email so all I have to do is cut and paste..and then add dinner.

You'll lose weight too at 1000 calories a day but your body may fight you at some point. Like they say, stalls happen. It's just nice to know you haven't had a sugar crash in this long..

Keep up the good work.

Ooo..beef jerky..my favorite! Great source of protein and just the chewing thing works to keep me full feeling. Good stuff.

I always feel better when I get stuff like cleaning around the house done. accomplishment is a good thing. dh is painting the house and found a spot where the siding needs to be replaced...we'll be busy for a while on that. We got a great deal on the paint so it's time.

Great list and great numbers! Keep up the good work.See ya.

Group Hug and Good Morning !

WoooWhoo, day 2 of a new month and feelin' good...My 4yr surgeon's appt went well yesterday, he said I was a "poster child" for his practice, made me feel good...Labs all looked great too, finally have my iron under control ( last year it was 25, this year 142, what a difference adding a daily regime has made )...Only thing I need to add as a supplement is Vit D, does anyone know if you can get it in a chewable? If not I hear the pills are small so that should help with getting them digested...

Was on a liquid diet prior to my afternoon appt, so the totals are low in cal, but still good numbers....

B - choc and pb protein shake

S - homemade coffeehouse style coffee

L - 24 oz iced high protein coffee

S - 2 prunes & a ritz pb cracker covered in white choc

D - 4 oz london broil with 1 oz sharp cheddar done like a panini but pressed open face on a thin slice of crusty ciabatta

S - sm palm homemade trail mix

Water/crystal lite - 120 oz                      Cals - 857     Fat - 35     NetCarbs - 50     Protein - 86

Later  Alesia, 5'5"  133lbs

Great on the labs! Good job. I haven't had to add any iron yet. Hopefully my diet will keep it alright. I do a side by side comparison of my labs each year (and half year like last year) and see what went up and what went down...even within normal levels. Very interesting reading! I adjust my vitamins and diet accordingly.

My vitamin D levels have been really high and stayed high so I don't know about vitamin D. I do think they have sublingual ones like the B-12. Look around the pharmacy or Vitamin Shoppe...they can help you and Vitalady...she's awesome with that stuff.

Wow! low calories today. Probably doing too much. I know my calories are really low when I drink enough water so that's what happened to me yesterday. Enough water, not enough calories. I made up for it on the dessert...sugar free protein cake (ala eggface) and nsa ice cream..yumo. Even if it was 300 calories, I was okay with 1000 calories before hand. LOL.

Keep up the good work! See ya
