4 year follow up...I think I might have to go see my surgeon this year for my three year. I'll call him and ask if he wants to see me..Otherwise, he sends me a list of blood tests for my PCP to review. I keep all my lab results on a spreadsheet so I can compare. 6 months, 1 year, 18 months, 2 years..I skipped 2.5 years and will just do it yearly now..I see no point in costing my insurance for every six months when the labs were so good at two years.

one pound! heavens. LOL. Do you remember when we (as MO, before surgery people) didn't stress over several dozen pounds? LOL. Quite a change.

I need to recover my brain today. I forgot my water bottle when I got in the car. I always drink while I'm driving (jus****er, LOL) and so I went about 20 miles and got really thirsty and reached for it...GONE..damn. Got to get back into character.

Celiac will effect your ability to absorb all those things like vitamins and minerals. What happens is when you eat anything with glutten in it, the silia in the intestine lay down and refuse to absorb any nutrients. That's bad. Definitely do a google search on the disease and find the association for them. They have really good ideas and links to products that celiac sufferers can get and make. I get a blister in the back of my throat when I have things with hidden glutten in them like barbeque sauce..Way more things than you can imagine have glutten in them!

For blood sugar, they concentrate on protein and not on carbs because carbs turn into sugar so fast the body just can't keep up and then when the sugars are all used up the body crashes out. Hypoglycemia. Protein will bring your blood sugar up slowly with no crash afterwards.

Again, these are only my thoughts. I'm not a doctor and I"m not a nutritionist. I just know what works for me.

Me and my daughter went to burger king. I got a whopper Jr. ate 1/2 and a large sugar free tea.

Dinner..went to waffel house and got grits and coffee. Couldn't even drive home I was so sick. Got home and was puking so hard I had grits coming out my nose. Last 4 times I ate there I got sick. I say every time I'm not going back and do. I like the coffee. Other than that was a good day. Went got bird and squirrel food. Tons of them here. Got a good night sleep. God is so good.

Maybe they put something in the grits that you can't eat. I found out that they add pancake batter to their omelets at IHOP! If I had celiac disease (which runs in my family) I'd be ticked to find wheat products in my eggs. Pretty sad when the best food you can get (that doesn't make you sick) is fast food...LOL.

I love to buy hummingbird food for our hummers..those little guys are so much fun to watch. I take a cup of coffee out on the patio and can sit for hours watching them. The males guard the feeders and swoop all "intruders". The momma's zip back and forth from the feeders to their tiny little nests in the trees...all day long. We have mocking birds too. They LOVE to imitate any noises. One year, when the neighbor was doing home improvements we could hear his nail gun all night long. It was the mocking bird, not the neighbor...cool stuff.

I just love all God's little creatures..squirrels not so much but they still are cute (they're cuter when the dog has one in his mouth, sorry. ;-))

Right now I am mad at the squirrels. They keep getting into my bird feeder. They are chewing it up and it is plastic. They got their own food and feeder. They are so many birds down here. I told my daughter the other that birds don't sleep. I don't sleep and one got on my nerves the other night so bad. I though I was going to go out and throw a rock at it around 2 am. And I got to remember I am not in the county anymore. The cars by all night. And why in the hell do people see the need between 2 am and 4 am to have thier music in their cars bumping. I am on a major highway. My daughter was laughing about how county I sound today. I told her I was about ready for the county already. Never lived in the city. I ask God for a change and he gave it to me. So I know it is a good change. Just a little worried. I have moved like 3 times in my life and after about 1 or 2 weeks it felt like home. Not here. It is so big here. It seems like I am here visiting someone and redy to go home. Found myself heading to the trailer park 2 times. Got to use to this change. Hope you are doing good. Thank you for talking with me.

The sounds will sound more normal after a while. My daughter can't sleep at my house anymore because it's too quiet..How can it be TOO quiet? LOL.

Think about the pioneers who moved from one side of the country to the other, WALKING! Some of those women went alittle crazy when they were crossing the prairie because there was nothing but waving grass! No hills, no trees. Just waving grass. I don't like the flat lands either! We went to Iowa one summer and it's so flat, you can see from one end to the other! I'm used to having mountains to have as  a point of reference. How can you tell which way you're headed if there are no trees?

Yeah, squirrels can be pretty greedy little buggers. There are ways to keep them out of the feeders but you have to do some research...They're just really greedy cuz their nature makes them that way..self preservation, I guess. Like me hourding my sugar free candies. LOL.
