Accountability - Thursday
I never was a breakfast eater either before surgery but I found that my blood sugar was so low when I woke up in the mornings, especially without coffee (no coffee post surgery was the rule until I was a year out). So I tried Kashi Sticks and Things cereal...the cold cereal thing made me even sicker so I found malto meal with added protein powder..that is what started it. regular malto meal with chocolate protein and soy milk...yummy stuff. Then malto meal got to me, I did grits with butter and vanilla protein. Not too great. But then I found tvp and it goes so well cooked into oatmeal (alittle nutty, same texture)..I've been stuck on that for some time. I even have to have that breakfast before we leave to head into town to go have breakfast with friends. So it's my FIRST breakfast on the weekends and then I have a SECOND breakfast later. LOL.
But I'm going to ask everyone about breakfast for a while to see if I can figure some common ground.

Dawn, I'll bet if you hubby ever tried grits this way he'd be a convert...My DH is a northerner (MA) and when he went into the military and had to have grits ( no other options ) started eating his with sugar ( grits-n-sugar
