I am going to take 50 mg of benedryl so I can sleep til morning. I am so empty I feel like I ate nothing all day but it is over 1600 calories again. My surgeon said I should only be eating 1200 calories, under 100 gms of protein. Sorry....no can do! I give all of you successful people so much credit. I just don't have your determination and self control. Daisy
I used to be diabetic. They haven't done tests on that in a long time on me (three years). I haven't had a serious crash since I started eating every couple of hours, high in protein, good carbs (no white carbs). My blood sugar the last time I crashed was 28. I don't black out, apparently but I sure feel crappy and weak.
I am considering adding more carbs into my diet and backing down on the protein but it's just in the thinking stages now. There are good carbs, I'm just afraid of the blood sugar crash. So carbs and how I'm taking my vitamins. It's hard to change things! The vitamins are a big thing because changing that makes me forget to take them and ... that's wrong.
I drink so much water that I"m just too busy running to the restroom to think about hunger. LOL.

Hi Dawn-If I were you I wouldn't change a thing! You look and feel great and you are doing it! Thanks so much for taking the time to run this post daily. It is a really big help for me sort of keeps me accountable! I also like that it has people further out posting. I talked to my nut yesterday and she said I can eat all the fruit and veges I want and not ruin the surgery further! At least when I need food I don't have to feel guilty for eating it. I have to limit protein and fat and carbs. I also have had 27 and 21 blood sugar. I am close to non functioning at that point. If my husband had not been with me I don't know if I would have had the where-with-all to eat! I also drink a ton of fluid. Sometime I feel like I pee like a racehorse! Daisy
Have you had everything checked to make sure your stoma is not stretched and food escapes too fast to provide full feeling for 2-3 hours after eating dense proteins and veggies? I don't know the answer to your dilemma or what I can say to help with you struggles, but you are in my thoughts, if you have lost and kept of even 50% of your original presurg weight then you are considered a success...For myself, I say if you weigh less than when you started you are a success, I know many post ops personally that have out-eaten their surgeries and are now just as heavy or more-so than when they started...
Keep plugging away, you deserve a

That's it for me..
Your list looks really good. I'm going to ratchet my protein down and bring my carbs up to cover the calorie loss. I just don't want to lose anymore weight so it's really important to keep the calories up but I'm afraid of the carbs...yikes. Lots to think about.
You are doing really well. Keep up the good work. See ya.

I bought some great looking cucumbers last weekend so I can make a cool cucumber salad..I finally made coleslaw from the left over cabbage we had with the corned beef last week...LOVE coleslaw, it just takes so long to eat just alittle bit.
I was going to get out my flour tortillas last night with the tacos but dh already had the crunchy ones (formed into U's and crispy, boxed) out for us...I was too tired to do anything at all. lazy.
Your list looks great. You got in the running too..great.
Keep up the good work. See ya.
