What a day! I'm so tired of this week. It should have been over two days ago. I had lunch with my dh and it's always great. The problem is that time of the month is causing me problems. I want chocolate and I'm eating WAY too much of it. My confession to you is that last night, I hit the chocolate like an addict and then I had some sort of pepperidge farms sticks and then more chocolate. I finally forced myself to go to bed because I wouldn't STOP eating...sigh...I've never had that problem.

What the hell is wrong with my stinkin body? menopause, hot flashes, cramps, pms...This SUCKS. Why won't it quit already. ARGH.

So that's what I'm up against tonight. I'm going to NOT snack. I'm going to have just one mini tangerine (a cutie) and I swear that is ALL I'm having for dessert. No snack...nothing.

5:00 am 10 oz coffee w/NSA Swiss Miss
6:00 am 1/3 cup instant oatmeal, 1/4 cup fine grain soya granules, 1 cup plain soy milk, 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
7:00 am 24 oz Drink Mix, Fruit Punch
8:00 am 10 oz Coffee w/NSA Swiss Miss
10:00 am 12 oz Drink Mix, Satisfaction Strawberry Banana
10:30 am 1 pc roasted turkey breast deli meat, 1 small apple (forgot my cheese stick!)
11:00 am 12 oz Drink Mix, Satisfaction Strawberry Banana
11:30 am 12 oz Drink Mix, Grapefruit Caffeinated
12:00 pm 1/2 chicken quesadilla
12:30 pm 12 oz Drink Mix, Grapefruit Caffeinated
2:00 pm 24 oz Drink Mix, Mandarin Orange
3:05 pm 1 cup salad greens, 1/2 cup broccoli from frozen, 4 oz chicken thigh meat, 1/2 oz Fat Free Italian Dressing
3:45 pm 24 oz Drink Mix, Raspberry Ice

4:30 pm 24 oz Drink Mix, Lemonade

6:45 pm 4 oz pork roast grilled, 1/2 cup mashed potatoes, 1/2 cup canned beets

Sometime tonight I'm going to have one small tangerine.

Totals for the day:
Calories: 1636
Fat: 69.1
Carbs: 135.6
Protein: 126.3

That's it...there is not going to be any more. I promise. I've asked dh to keep an eye on me.

So? What's eating you? What did you eat? How are you doing against the world of the obese? It's a tough fight sometimes...Keep up the good work.

OMG, Dawn, I had the same issue last night. I couldn't sleep so I kept thinking of things I could snack on all night. I ended up going to the fridge 2 times. First time I had sugar free jello and the second time I had 3 big strawberries. After that, I drank a lot of water and stayed out the kitchen. I hate nights like that!

Today was a good day...

Pre B:  2 cups of coffee w/ half n half & Splenda and 8 oz of Choc. calorie countdown milk

B: 1 boiled egg & 3 strips of turkey bacon

S: Pear

L: Yummy salad loaded w/ protein
Grilled chicken, ham, boiled egg, cheese and lots of raw veggies w/ FF italian

S: Carb/ Sugar control yogart & 3 strawberries

D: Smart One's frozen dinner

S: Few mango chunks & carb/sugar control yogart

That's it for me!

Even with the trips to the fridge you didn't do bad. I stuck to my guns last night and did no more than that tangerine I had. Actually, the little miniature tangerines called cuties...I ate two of them. Seriously, they're smaller than a tangerine by half!

But then I woke up with a raging headache this morning. Dog woke me up. I let him out but dh let him back in. He got into something. Little brat. He jumped up on the bed and then barfed...for me to jump out of bed and pick up and wash the comforter...and toss his little butt out again. But at 4:30 in the morning, on PMS time...I was not a happy camper!

I'll try and recover before the weekend. LOL.

You keep up the good work. I'm just so glad that my binging was on sugar free chocolate. I could have been alot sicker! See ya.

Pre B) 6 oz  skim milk
B) 80 cal lowfat yogurt
S) 1 egg salad
L) 3 oz ground sirloin grilled, with garden salad, steamed whole green beans
S) 1 boneless, skinless grilled chicken breast
D) Multigrain Cheerios, with 3/4 cup milk
S) SF jello, 1 oz cheese

I know the milk and yogurt is carby, but I need the calcium, along with the supplements, because the actual food helps increase absorption of the capsule form.
I had the usual Benefiber, liquids, vitamins and supplements.

I try and make sure I take my vitamins with food. Sometimes I lag behind a bit.

I guess we're all human and prone to errors in judgement...I know my brain fights me every PMS time...LOL.

Keep up the good work...See ya

Hey Dawn and Everyone Else,

Don't let that monthly monster get control and start tearing your hair out...I'm a week late and started mine today  and its on with a vengence so step back everyone I'm feelin B-chy ...
Yesterdays food was weird, I did not have a lunch cuz dh took mine by mistake and it messed up my daily planning...Ended up just plain grazing pretty much all day, in the end did not feel like I ever really ate a meal except for dinner yet it added up to WAY too much empty carbs for my comfort... Here's the results, planned better today...

B - strawberry/banana protein frappachino

S1 -sm palm of moose munch & a homestyle coffeehouse drink

S2 - 4 oz cottage cheese with 4 oz sf jello and 1/4 c TVP

S3 - grande sf, nf, cinnamon dulce latte @ Starbucks

S4 - bite of sourdough w/olive tapenade, a sugar cookie, sample bite of Virginia baked ham
         ( grociery store graze )

S5 - 7 smokehouse almond

S6 - sm handful of fresh made cracklin's (pork rinds)

D - 4 oz deli turkey with 1/2 cup sauteed mushrooms, peppers & onions then topped with a 1 oz
slice of muenster and run thru the toaster oven to melt it together ( YUMMMMM)

120 oz water/crystal light           Cals : 1357   Fat : 59   Net Carbs :  88   Protein :  113

Yeah, it was a SNACKfest yesterday...Until next time...

You know, it's just not fair! Hot flashes AND cramps AND PMS AND bleeding...It's just not fair. Where to send my complaint? LOL.

Oh, on PMS and dh dares to take your lunch. I hope he's hiding out somewhere, afeerd to come out into firing range. LOL.

Still, with the grazing, you got in plenty of protein and the carb number doesn't exceed the protein number. That's my indication of a good day versus a bad day...how the carbs/protein numbers stack up.

Keep up the good work...Snack on. LOL. See ya.

I am in peri menopause and i had an endometrial ablation over a year ago; so no more periods! I know when it wouod of been my time because i still get a bit crabby and I do crave sweets intensely. I had another half serving of chocolate covered raisons but beside that I had a great day.
B-egg beater veggie and bacon omellette
S-sf cookie
L-meat sauce and brocoli and small whole whet pita
S-tuna w smidge mayo, mustard and pickle juice with fe pretzel chips
S-Ka****rail mix bar
D-chicken breast, tiny baked potato and steamed brocoli
S-none I was full from a late dinner!
I did an hour of zumba then met my running group for a run. It was a relaxed run as the only ones that showed up are slower than me, which was fine as I was a bit sore in the knees from zumba.
By the time I got home and had dinner and showered it was almost 10 pm so I went to bed without a snack which is unusual for me! I got all my water in and then some as I had my CT scan to size up my hernia and they reccomend to increase your fluids for a day or two to flush out all the contrast.

I actually jogged over to the health clinic on campus here to have my TB test read. I caught my breath talking to them for a few minutes (one of the nurses there had WLS surgery a year after I did). When I'd caught my breath enough, I jogged back. I looked pretty funny in my crocs and dress...running across the parking lot. LOL.

the only thing that saved me this week is that I have tons of sugar free chocolate laying around and that's what I head for when the chocolate monster comes around. Usually a single piece will stave him off but this week has been a bad one. I think I'm better now.

Zuma and running too...I think you are my new idol...I want to start running. Maybe I will. My knees are good. I haven't fallen down in a long time (since 4 months out of surgery) so I think I could. It might even be fun to take the dogs out. At least they'd sleep longer at night and not get me up at 4:30. Stupid Lhaso Huahua..He's my favorite or he'd be dead after this morning when he comes in at 4:30 and barfs on my comforter. Stupid dog...LOL.

Keep up the good work. See ya.

I started with the couch to 5 k program. Just google it and it will give you a guide how to ease into running. I had to repeat some of the weeks because i was not ready to move up , but oh well i got there eventually!
