I need some help, please. I am on a task force for the hospital I work at and we are focusing on the care of the bariatric patient inthe ambulatory clinics as well as in the hospital setting. We are discussing how to meet their special needs respectfully and want to know what they need or want from us as an  organization.
I have a few experiences to draw on from my pre op days but was wondering what you would of liked, or how you would of liked to have been treated back when you were still MO or SMO. What could health providers have done to make your experience better.
I can think of the obvious, bigger gowns, chairs without armrests, exam tables that will not tip over( happened to me). I know many of us feel no one ever really connected with us when we were bigger, acted like we were invisible. I would appreciate any input you have; thanks!
