Accountability - Wednesday
Today was another good day. Tomorrow I have a dinner party that I'm going to. I need to allow for eating that will not be planned. I'm okay with that and even if I have a trip and fall happen..For now, today was good.

Totals for the day:
Calories: 1363
Fat: 58.8
Carbs: 99.1
Protein: 115.4
Carbs were good and low. Protein was good and high..All around good. Some different snacks and side dishes. I had alot of strawberries this week because they were on sale last weekend. Yummy stuff.
The next couple of days will be weird in the evenings and I hope I'm up to it. Friday we're headed on an evening drive to pick up a little hermit crab named Sushi..LOL. I just love that name. He needs a home and we have room.
So? How did you do?
I'm still up a good 20 lbs, actually I need to lose about 30 lbs total... I know journaling and posting it on here is very very very good! I look at your post every single day. I know my eating wasn't the best but I did 100% honestly journal, here it goes:
Egg
sausage patty (2)
butter
Protein Drink
Greek Yogurt
Beef Tips
carrots
Brussel Sprouts
Sweet Potato
Protein Drink
Cheese (Cheddar)
Cookies (6)
pudding
Daily Total Calories: 1230
Protein: 97
Cut your goal down to small little incriments and you can visualize it better. Say 2 pounds in a couple of weeks? That's not that big a jump as saying 30 POUNDS...Just a couple at a time. That might feel better..Any move in the right direction is a good move...
You did good. You have have a sweet tooth late in the day, I can see. Most of us do. I don't know what it is..just has to be a sweet ending or something. Recently, I'm trying fruit as a sidedish for dinner instead of the usual greenbeans or potatoes. I can't tell if it's working yet. It feels better.
Keep up the good work. I love the variety in your day...looks really yummy (brussel sprouts are my FAV!)

Good evening, Ladies.
I have food issues today. I think it's my nerves or I just gave in to temptation?! I had my appointment with the surgeon to talk about hernia repair. She looked at the CT and said they definantly are getting bigger and need to be repaired. Then she asked me about getting some skin removed and referred me to a Plastic surgeon. He called me before I even got home. He said my insurance will not pay for an abdomoplasty but will pay for panniculectomy. I'm not very excited about that. I'm also nervous because I work at a hospital and see the good, the bad and the ugly! I'm having mixed emotions about all of this.
Today was Administrative Professionals Day so my boss made cookies for us. I ate some then ate some more.
Here's the damage...
Breakfast: 1 boiled egg & 2 oz of Turkey sausage patty
Snack: 2 peanut butter cookies
Lunch: 2 roast beef and cheese roll up's & Small Garden salad w/ FF dressing
Snack: 1 1/2 chocolate chip cookies
Dinner: 1 Baked chicken Leg, Few bites of brown rice & 1/2 cup of collard greens
Snack: Protein shake

Yikes on the hospital. I mean you're consciencious about your work but you know who isn't..That's hard. But...you can choose when and then figure out who will be there. After you wake up you can dictate who and what...The only issue is when you don't have control. How much time are you talking about? A day or two?
You do reach for the sweets when the pressure is on! But still, you had room for it. The numbers aren't too bad. Without the cookies, you'd have been about 800 calories! Yeah for cookies, in that case. LOL.
Keep up the good work. See ya.

Kay,
I am having a heck of a time getting an appointment where I want to have my TT done; I am impressed someone would call you! Don't worry have faith you will be all right just like you were with having your RNY
Mary
I'm sure if you're having a hard time getting an appointment at your place of choice, it must be a very sought after surgical team..Patience is a virtue and good things come to those who wait (that's the best I can do...it's still too early) it will happen...
I'm a big supporter in giving in to healthy cravings..If the pouchy wants a banana...give it a banana..there's something in that banana that you must really need. It's not the same when you crave cookies, though..LOL. unfortunately.
Keep up the good work. See ya.

Seems like everyone is holding on pretty well, its good to know that all of us have those forays into the sweets craving, makes me feel all the more "normal", although saying no to more is much harder for me if the sugar is incorporated into something with simple white carbs ( ie, cookies, cupcakes, creamhorns

Kay, just wanted to weigh in about the panni...I had a hernia repair during my 2nd year out and my surgeon got insurance approval for a panni only ( TT cosmetic )...Anyway, I knew someone in my support group who had the panni done earlier that year and when she showed me her's it looked really good, so I decide to go for it...I must say I was very pleased with the end result and still am...My surgeon had to do some muscle pulling as part of the hernia repair so the results ended up being pretty taunt ( never going to see 6 pack abs on me, but overall looks way better even 2 years later with things loosening up )...In the end, its your decision but thought I would give you my perspective, I would never have been able to afford to self-pay for a TT and really am pleased this free alternative was available to me...

I'm traveling for the weekend, starting tomorrow very early, so will not be back in to report until Monday...Have a great weekend everyone...

Ah! Dreams of six pack abs....LOL. Those went away with any thoughts of having more children in my early 40's sadly.
Ooo. The cheese omelet looks good. For some reason, I just can't add meat to an omelet. I have a second breakfast most weekends that is usually an omelet. Takes me FOREVER to eat it and some times I can't eat the whole thing. Nevermind the potatoes they bring. If I can, I sub cottage cheese for that. slider food AND it's got at least some protein.
home recipe for coffeehouse drink....hmm. Interested in knowing that one. I have canned ice cappucino that I add a chocolate protein packet to...and then put it on ice. yummy. I thought of adding that to my lunch box today but too much in there already.
I found some pork rinds a few weekends ago. Not like you can get back east but I was thinking I'd like to try them...still haven't.
Numbers look really good. more than enough water...GOOD JOB!
Have fun on your trip.
