5 years ago!!! wow!...long post
I think I got to my goal weight within the first year! believe it or not, its all a blur and I would have to break out my journals to figure it all out. I however know that one of the reasons my family was so worried was due to my anemia... I was severly anemic and I had had trouble even before this surgery with enima so I knew why I looked so gaunt.
after the surgery I had a few complications and a tummy tuck. too bad that when I was having the tummy tuck and a rather huge hernia repaired that my surgeon had to remove my belly button, poor thing was all stretched out and there was no way to save it. I could have had a new belly button made but so far I dont really miss it. I told my hubby that I might get a tattoo of a belly button or maybe a smiley face...
well, because I have other medical problems I had trouble getting good exercise but I was able to walk a few miles every day and ride a bike. I went to a doctor who had me receive two treatments for iron infusions (took 6 hours each time) and I finally got my iron up to normal. it had got down to 7... that is really really low.
my weight got down to 145 and I thought I looked really good by of course my family thought I was too skinny! of course I lost my boobs! I went from a size 26W jeans to a missus 6 or 8, all depends on who makes them.
over the years I gained and lost a few pounds and although I think I gained a little too much, my husbands thinks I look wonderful and that I was too bony before. I now weight #165 and wear a size 8 to 10 missus depending on who makes them and all my blookwork is great. no more anemia. and thankfully because I did slowly gain a little weight back, I actually gained back a little bit of my boobs!! so my plan for this summer is to lose 10to 15 pounds slowly and keep the boobs this time. I would like to weigh 150... no special reason except that I like that number.

Way to go Donna
Congrats on passing your 5 yr surgiversary...It sounds like you have accomplished much, are holding your own, and have alot to be thankful for...Good attitude goes a long way...
I'm coming up on my 4 yr myself and overall am very happy with the end result...I picked up 10-15 lbs for my low ( if fluctates daily) and would like to see them gone again, started working on in a slow and steady progression...
Ironically, I also had a hernia repair and panni removal that left me without a belly button too...I joke the instructor at my water aerobics class when she tells the class to "get into the workout and intensify by getting your belly button out of the water", always say but what if I can't ?!?
Keep up the great work, good luck on shaking off those added stragglers...

Hi Donna
Congrats to you! I too am a 5 year Grad. I also want to lose 10-20 lbs so I can get back down to my lowest weight of 150. The only thing that is different with me than you is "I WANT to lose some BOOBAGE" I am a size 10 but my shirts are XL because of my upper chest area! I too like the 150 number! I am determined to do it!
