Accountability - Wednesday
I had a great day. I got to make an Easter Dinner for all of us (five) and it was good. I even ate too much. Although, I think I did okay for the day.
Breakfast: 1/3 cup instant oatmeal, 1/4 cup fine granule TVP, 1 cup soy milk, 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce, coffee (and actually, I ate 2 pc of SF Easter Candy before I had breakfast)
Snack: 2 bottles (24 oz each) Drink Mix with water while driving to the market for a couple of things.
Lunch: 3 oz Queso Fresco, grilled (ala Jupiter) and pizza sauce
Snack: part of a waffle, toasted with butter and SF Syrup
Snack: 24 oz Drink Mix water
Dinner: 4 oz ham, 1/4 sweetpotato, 1/3 cup homemade coleslaw (sugarless), 1/2 deviled egg, 1 homemade sugar free carrot cake cupcake
Snack: 24 oz Drink Mix, water
totals for the day:
calories: 1586
Fat: 79.4
Carbs: 133.1
Protein: 94.2
Well, protein could have been higher...I thought ham was higher in protein than that...oh well. Next time, I know. Tomorrow? T-Bones. heheheheh...that's high inprotein.
All in all, not a BAD day...not perfect but then what or who is? How did you do?

Yes, RNY worked for me but it also requires a lot of work from me!

Hi, this is my first time here and I am really trying to take off the 20 lbs I have gained. I have decided that I need to be accountable for what I put in my mouth as well as exercise in order to gain control again. Yesterday I wrote down EVERYTHING that I ate or drank so here it goes:
3 cups coffee with sweetnlow
B: 1/2 cup FF plain yogurt with 1/8 cup blueberries, and 1/2 cup Kashi Go Lean
S: FF turkey dog with spicy brown mustard
L: Low carb wrap with WW string cheese and steak strip quesadilla with 1 oz FF ruffles
S: NSA fudge bar x 2 (bad decision but couldn't resist)
D: 3oz grilled chicken breast, 1/2 FF cottage cheese, 1 cup Barilla Plus Macaroni and tomatoes
S: FF turkey dog with spicy brown mustard
Calories: 1274
Fat: 16
Protein: 83
Didn't count carbs but will today.
Please add your input. I tend to not like water but did get in 32 oz of water with the walmart brand of crystal lite (o calories) plus about 1/2 mile of walking.
I am not sure how many calories, fat, carbs I should be eating. I am at 161 (down 2 so far) and I am 5' 2". I have been trying to do at least 30 mins of cardio along with some arm weights daily. Thanks for everything and you look AMAZING!!!

I don't count carbs so much either. I do make sure I'm eating good carbs (fruit instead of bread or pasta) but for the most part, when I total it up at the end of the day, it's a crap shoot.
I also use walmart brand crystal light..And when I find something at the 99 cent store, I buy that too...Just to keep a variety of flavors so I don't get bored with it. I drink A LOT of water. I carry a 24 oz bottle with me all the time, especially in the car while I'm driving. After doing that for over a year, I get into the car and immediately get thirsty..I think I've built a habit there. LOL. I shoot for 5 containers of water a day, not counting the coffee.
Also, with little fat and little water, you might run the risk of constipation...Fat isn't bad in small doses (Low Fat is better than Non-fat). AND it's good for your skin too.
I appreciate the compliment..From a distance you can't see the saggy skin but believe me, it's there. Genetics play alot in the fact that I don't have a lot of it but it's still there.
You did awesome. Breakfast is necessary. Water is necessary. Whenever you hear people talk about successful weight loss or maintenance they talk about breakfast and water...So those two things are most important, I believe.
Keep up the good work. See ya!

Thanks for the advice. I have never been a water drinker. I have and currently been addicted to diet coke, however I have recently cut back to almost none. I try to drink CL or ice tea. I do have bouts of constipation and dry skin. I am also hypothyroid so that adds to all of it. It is just one day at a time for me right now. Slowly I am reducing my intake. I went back to the divided baby plate, baby spoon, and an olive fork. Makes me more concious of how much I put in my mouth. Exercising is something I have added back in too. I get lazy, just plain and simple. I know how the tool works, I just need to use it. I am going to try to post to accountability daily. If others read it then maybe i wont eat it. Thanks again for the advice...you are an inspiration!!!!

Another hint I can give you is parking. When we go shopping, we've gotten into the habit of parking as far away from the store as possible. It's not much but it's alittle more. It all counts.

Hello ladies.
I have been busy running around doing stuff and trying to help my parents clean out their attic and garage. They sure have collected a lot of "junk" during their 40 years of marriage! They keep EVERYTHING! The neighborhood is having a yard sale so hopefully they get rid of a lot.
Wednesday's Menu..
B- Protein shake
S- 1 slice of lite wheat toast w/ 2 tbsp. of RF peanut butter
L-3 slices of spiral ham & 1 boiled egg
S- Power Crunch bar
D- South Beach Diet Plzza
S- SF chocolate pudding & 4 big strawberries
Guess who's still 179 lbs? .. MEEEEEEEE !

OMG! 179...That's awesome.
I have the fear that the stuff I have in the house will be filed through by the kids when I'm gone...I try and label it and make sure they know what is important and what isn't...Not much is but my problem is the ancestry information. Pictures without labels to say who those old faces are...
You did great with all that activity! Isn't it nice that we "forget" to eat when we're busy? Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think I would get to that point...But I do. Often.
Keep up the good work.
