Grads I need your advise.
My name is Asia. I am 6.5 months out and 2 lbs away from goal. I have lost 98 lbs in 6.5 months. My starting BMI was 40 and now it is 23.6 and I want to go into maintenance mode. I know for fact that I am going to drop at least another 10 more pounds maybe more before the year is up just because.
I did the TANIA at my last weigh in and my food calorie intake just to maintain would be 1450 calories. How the hell am I going to do that? I am having a hard time just getting in 900 calories. It seems the more I ate last week the more I lost. Last week I lost 4 lbs and week before that 4 also. I need to slow this puppy down.
For exercise I am just doing sit ups, arm weights and squats. No cardio anymore. I notice that when I run I am lossing to much.

Asia

When I went into maintenance, I had a similar situation. The NUT and I picked a calorie target. I lost, it went up, I lost, it went up...until there was no more room for food!
I stopped cardio for a while, that helped.
I also started eating full foods like whole milk, full fat yogurt, butter, etc.
Eventually things stabilized and then I had to "give back" around 400 calories to keep my weight stable. I may have had to reduce calories more, but I started cardio again so the food could stay and my inner food addict would be happy :)

Same as jlmartin said! I got down to goal and asked how to stop. They told me to "eat more" which is all well and good but I didn't want to develop any bad habits back again (no sugar, no white carbs...follow the rules, no water chugging after I've eaten...)
So I just increased my calories until I stayed level..I'm at about 1600-2000 a day at this point.

Yes, RNY worked for me but it also requires a lot of work from me!

Asia, glad you asked this question because I am wondering the same thing.
