Welcome... Loosing/Regaining
Hello to Everyone!
My name is Vera Lee Davis, from Chicago.
I want to take a moment to wish each of you much success in your journey... to a place that only you know the destination.
I celebrated my 4 years out on December 20th, 2008. Officially, I have lost a total of 132 pounds, and gained back 42, so far. Should I be sad... no, because over 4 years, that's not bad.
So, to those of you who may have gained, be encouraged! Lets endeavor to work out more, remove those 'old' habits, and return to our OH anniversary page(s), to encourage others, who may have also fell 'off' the 'food cart'!
To those of you who are new, and/or are still loosing, please...
Take the time to encourage those members who have had surgery, to hang in there, and let them know how you are feeling, because it will remind us of our 'honeymoon'.
Take the time out to share your story with others, because they need to hear it.
Believe that we all are the same, as we have experienced emotional pain, ridicule and who knows what else, but you...
Remember, it was not until we were able to have surgery that we had the confidence to speak out. Unless you were like me, always a challenger, you change was due to the desire to get healthy, look good, be all that you want to be, or simply... LIVE!
So, why am I here... to do all of the above. I have almost 10,000 views to my profile, and I have OH to thank for it. I will continue telling my story to the Newbies (if you need an angel, let me know), and the Outs, whether it is 1 minute out, or 10 years +, I encourage you to remember our unique community, unique way of life and our aggressive means at achieve both.
Do feel free to comment, as I will look for as many new friends as the Lord allows.
Remain blessed,
