IBS

My friend will be 5 years out in October and is having issues with what her doctor feels is IBS.  She doesn't have internet right now after just moving.  So, she asked me to do a post on here for her.  She wants to know if anyone else as far out as her suffers from irritable bowel syndrome. And, if so, what works for you?  Meds? Diet? Combination of the two?  And what are your symptoms?  I don't know many details about what she is going through as I haven't spoken on the phone with her yet.  She is giving me info by text message.  LOL.  I will try and speak with her later today and provide some more details.  But, in the meantime if you could share your experience I will print it out and pass it along to her.  Thanks.
