Accountability - Monday

Well, I really screwed up today. After I found out I messed up, I had to put the brakes on and so the protein number suffered...Silly me.

B: instant grits, tvp, soy milk and dried papaya

S:  10 oz coffee w/NSA Swiss Miss times about three!

S: 1 oz cheese stick, 1 pc turkey deli meat

S: 24 oz Drink Mix water

L: Chili's Triple Dippers, 1.5 southwest eggrolls, 2/3 Spinach and artichoke dip, 1 pc Glazed Wings w/Barbeque Sauce

S: 24 oz Drink Mix water

D: 4 oz steak, 1 cup canned peas''

Dessert? 24 oz Drink Mix water I'm sure!

Imagine my horror when I totaled 900 calories for what I ate at Chilis! I went on line and found their nutritional listing. On top of that, the sodium levels for what I had were through the roof so tomorrow, I expect to have at least a pound of water weight...

Totals for the day:

Calories: 1772
Fat: 91.1
Carbs: 127.4
Protein: 112.1

The lowest percentage I've had for protein in some time. 25%...At least I was keeping track and had options for dinner that didn't add too much but gave me enough protein to make it acceptable.

How did you do today?

I'm hoping eventually I can up 'em too. I lost 6 pounds since Xmas at 18 months out-- so I suspect I will be able to eventually. Fingers crossed!

My new favorite place is Trader Joes. They have a dozen fresh large eggs for $1.49 a dozen! I could become addicted to boiled eggs myself!

Yeah, that flu is a real butt kicker. Takes a while to get it out of your system. I took a week to get back to normal, normal. I mean I felt better after a little while but I still got tired quick. I bet it was because I only got 300 calories that one day..

Your list looks really good. Your numbers look really good too. Slowly building yourself back up. Good job..Keep it up. See ya.

Hello everyone!

I done so well all day, then the night time comes and I give in to my ice cream crave.

B- 3 egg omelet, ww cheese, 1 oz small chunk ham
S- tuna pouch
L- turkey sandwich (1 slice of bread) 2 dill spears, tomato slice
D- chicken wrap, ww cheese, baby carrots

and my "OH NO flub up": 1/3 of an oreo mcflurry.

I feel like I'm in diet mode. I've been 'off track' for so long.

So many people feel bad about that word: diet..It's not a bad word to me anymore. It's just what I eat, it's not what I do...So when I want to have something bad, I allow for it in my totals.

I really have trouble in the evenings myself and so I keep all the stuff I can't have out of the house and add in stuff that isn't as bad as all that. Like No Sugar Added ice cream. Even though I can have alittle, it keeps me from having too much because the sugar alcohols "punish" me for stepping too far over the line. I get alittle smack and that reminds me next time I'm scooping out my next serving.

You did good! Even with the 1/3 of a McFlurry...Did you check their website and see what sort of damage you did? I bet it's not as bad as you thought..Unfortunately, I didn't check out the Triple Dipper until I got home and THAT was a mistake. Appetizers can be really really bad. LOL. But it's one day out of seven and I went out of my way to get over to Chili's and do that lunch. Our first thought was Outback but they aren't open for lunch. Again, didn't do my homework.

I love those tuna pouches! And I've been craving rye bread for several weeks. I need to get me alittle tiny loaf of that stuff (otherwise most of it's going to waste).

I guess people look at the word diet as only being a temporary fix, instead of long term.
I really wish I could go back to being day 1 as a post-op because I would've worked on my bad habits then. I got caught up in the fast, effortless weight loss. I am paying for it now. I tell all new post-ops to take advantage of that time, and change bad habits

I really wish I would've thought the day out better. I was at work and had a sugar craving but had nothing on hand. I went for something I could easily get. Big mistake. I need to plan better. For an entire mcflurry 12 oz the cals were roughly 530... so I took in around 180 cals from that. Soo not worth it, either.

I love tuna pouches also. They're a good snack, and have great nutritional value.

"I got caught up in the fast, effortless weight loss. I am paying for it now." You don't know what a breath of fresh air this is to me...I read all the newbies and how they can eat this and that and I practically scream at the computer "Just because you can, doesn't mean you SHOULD." but it falls on deaf ears.

Bless you! I'm so glad to have you around! You just don't know how you've made my day!

It's only 180 calories so don't beat yourself up too much. Yes, it's not worth it and a salad is more bulk than calories in that respect but it's not the WHOLE thing either. Tomorrow, more water, less carbs and more protein...and you're back on track. You'll do just fine...Stay encouraged!

Keep up the good work.
