CHICKEN
Hi Everyone
I have been noticing that just recently I am not tolerating chicken very well. It is actually making me feel sick to the point that I start dumping. I have not had this reaction to chicken since I was a newly post op back in 2004. Has anyone else experienced chicken becoming a pouch enemy? I love chicken so but now I am afraid to eat it......

Now that you mention it, I'm having a problem with chicken and most other meats as well. It's not to the point of dumping, but I can only eat about an ounce or so and I quickly get that I've eaten too much feeling. That sounds like a good thing, but I get hungery again too soon. I don't have the problem with soft proteins, eggs, cottage cheese, etc. Weird, isn't it?

I had my surgery 5 years ago. I love chicken but chicken does not always love me. It has to be cooked just right so that it is not too dry. If it is dry it will get stuck for sure. I usually only eat it at home when I cook it myself so that I know that the texture will be right for me. I also have to remind myself to chew, chew, chew to make sure it will not bother my pouch. You would think I would have learned that lesson by now ;)
