Motivation for our graduates
Hi gang,
Still hanging in there with this cold weather? Yep, sure wish I lived someplace warm!
Because that isn't going to happen, I just have to make the best of what I have to live with.
Just like all of us have to make the best of what is happening in our lives. A lot of people are going through a tough time with losing jobs, family returning home to recover from finances. I think it's going back to the old days again where houses are for a couple of families each to save money and survive. Times are tough but I've always said, if you can get out of bed, it's a good day!!!
So...how are you staying motivated? A lot of people get in the "dumps" because of the cold. Elders don't want to leave their home, afraid of falling and breaking a hip.
So...what's happening now? It's time to get off the couch, do some exercises. You don't need the gym to lift weights, use soup can's, milk jugs anything that weighs more than 2 pounds. Lift them over your head, to your sides, hold them out in front of you and do some squats. Do a set of 10, take a break then do 10 more.
Lie down on the floor, do those leg lifts, maybe some yoga positions???
You know you will feel better after exercise.
It's all about health for us. It's not about the magic number on the scale. Don't let the scale dictate your mood but do hold yourself accountable.
Most of all love yourself, be kind to yourself.
