Thank you for your post.  I have just posted a question about weight gain after a substantial amount of time, like 3 1/2 years out.  I think you may have answered my question with your 25 pound weight gain after surgery.  Thank you, I feel much better knowing that this is typical.  Kathy

Thanks for your update too.  I'm in the same boat - my surgery was July 05.  I got down to 123 - but when i look back at picture realize that was a little low for me - 10lbs lower than any of my normal adult weight of 136 - I felt okay, but pictures looked a little yuck.  So I put on about 8 - 10 lbs, not intentionally, but as a result of a cruise and holidays.  Looked a little more like myself and wasn't worried, clothes still fitting fine.  But recently, I've put on another 5 or so - up to 138.  Now this is more serious, b/c weight came on suddenly and my clothes are getting tight, especially my pants, which is my trouble area.  So, I'm motivated to lose those extra 5 - maybe a full 10 just to be on the safe side.  So - I'm right there with ya - making a concentrated effort to eat protein, put in some protein shakes, track my food and increase exercise.  No drinking before/after food intake, etc.  Cut out sweet snacks.  But got to admit, I'm scared b/c weight loss has been extermely difficult for me over the years pre-surgery.  My metabolism is VERY slow.  So keep me in your happy thoughts over the next couple of months as I work on these pounds & good luck to you as well.

Valerie
