I take 3 servings of Benefiber per day and an extra magnesium supplement.  That seems to have done the trick for me because I had BAD constipation.  I take 60 mg. of ferrous fumarate a day.  Hope it gets better for ya!

I have to agree with Joyce.
Magnesium Oxide is what worked for me.  I had tried everything else.
Right now, I take 4 stool softeners per day (1 in the am, 3 before bed) and 1 magnesium oxide (I think it is 400 mg).  There is also a bit of magnesium oxide in the chewable calcium citrate that I take.

I take 3 (25 mg each) Carlson Labs "Chew Iron" (as iron tris glycinate chelate) each day with vitamin C.

Tell someone that you love them!

Carbonyl Iron does not cause me constipation and is non toxic in high doses.  I take high doses from being anemic last year this time and to now to raise my ferritin levels and keep from becoming anemic again... I took Carbonyl iron at very high doses and was out of deep trouble in 2 months...No more anemia in 6 months.  And holding another 6 months....I get mine from Vitalady.com because hers are sweet and chewable...(I prefer to chew all my vits, if I can)  I also found it at the store with no flavor and very cheap (Called "Perfect Iron" or "Tender Iron"), but I take 10 a day and the bottle lasts me a week or two...so I just get a big ole bottle of the ones I can chew up and don't taste like dirt...from Vitalady and I take with a chewable Vit C too!

..but I also use magnesium daily for mag deficiencies I tend to have on and off AND to control constipation...Best remedy so far! For me anyway...
Good luck!

Note to you: if you have mag deficiency, the mag oxide won't help. Doesn't really hit the blood. Need mag citrate (not the laxative) for blood levels and/or any leg/foot cramping. Mag oxide is for poopin'. Both are cheap.

Tender is ? (trademarked), so that wouldn't be at a store. Must be another similar name?

I take both!  I got the magnesium citrate from you! Your "Tender Mag"!  I also take magnesium as a tea...for constipation which I rarely have since I get my electrolytes in order with the magnesium Citrate!  It works both ways!  And Magesium Citrate rather than oxide does work for constipation too! I have always used it for just that!  Even BEFORE WLS...

I saw a brand at Bloom Grocery stores called Tender Iron Or TENDERIRON as one word...I will have to go get a bottle and snap a photo because I cannot find it on line! I could be mistaken!  It wouldn' be the first time! LOL I still prefer yours and order two bottles of 400 every order!

I will investigate!

Cool, by all means, check out the name. I checked very carefully before I used it. And I've had it a LONG time now!

I also use both mags. There are a few ppl who get the stool help with the mag citrate, but mag oxide is a pretty sure thing. LOL

Hubby stopped by the store for me to check out the iron supps...and he found no iron called Tender Iron!  He did find Perfect Iron and I must have gotten it mixed up (similar idea) It was a while agothat I thought I saw it there...I am a little ADD when, ironically, my mag is low and the names are so similar ....So rest easy! No one stole your trademark!  I just made a mistake!  Hope I didn't stress ya out!  LOL

I still tell everyone about your TENDER iron!  It's da bomb!  LOL

Hugs!
