My Time Has Come

Heeeelloooo to all :)

For those that don;t recognize me I was an avid (obsessive) poster here while in my weight loss phase, for those that do, how the heck are ya?

Life moves on after wls and weight loss. Mine is about where I expected it to be. My problems are all still the same but much easier to deal with thin than they were thick. My bipolar disorder has been quite possibly the worst since I was 16ish. Most days I get by, some days I just hide in bed and wait for it to pass.

Waiting for my plastic surgery has made me much more depressed than anything. I hate that feeling of limbo, cant make plans, start new things, lead a normal life because today might be the day I get my appointment... It was 26 months ago when I got my referal started, 11 months ago when I got my first surgical consult, 9 months ago when I got medicare approval and its seemed like fooorever.

I have called the OR booking department every month since august. Every month they tried their best to give me a prediction of when to expect my surgery. Some were as early as October 2008 and others as late as May 2009, depending on the current wait list and number of surgeons available.

Last week I got my letter! I am booked for surgery on the morning on February 2nd (28 days from today!!!!) and I am soooo relieved to finally have something permanent to wait for instead of the "someday" its been.

Thank you for all of the nice messages I get!! The nicest people in the world all come from the OH RNY message board, I would swear on that in a court of law ;)

oooops I forgot to mention what Im having done :P people who know me have heard me whine about it so much Im sure they could tell you for me :P Im saying sha-na-nana goodbye to my girl balls, curtains, apron and baggy tummy skin wooohoooo. So basically abdomino plasty with some lipo to the labia, a pubic lift and minor leg lift.

Congratulations on getting a date set!!! That's exciting and it will be here before ya know it! Good Luck!!!

Wow PK, that's fabulous news!  All that waiting and finally you have a date.  I am really excited for you!

On 01/15, I have a consult with a plastic surgeon to get the process started.  Yoiks!  I keep going back and forth about how much I want to buy.  A friend reminded me that everything I want will be the cost of a new car.  Would I agonize so much about buying a new car if I needed it?  Nope.

Keep posting about your upcoming plastics, I will be watching you.  You've been such an inspiration every step of the way.

Thank you for the love baby :) I dont even own a car!!! Why? Cause they are a waste of money :P Someone has gotta teach you 'mericans on what's important when it comes to fiscal planning dernit, cause looking/feeling good in your own skin beats looking/feeling good in a fancy car/house :P

Fingers crossed your PS tells you all the good stuff, Ive heard seeking a surgeon you like/trust with a good price isnt easy.

Awwww. you have about 30 seconds to stop all those compliments!  LOL.

You're right about the way we spend money. I have to say it's because we live in a modest house (raised 3 sons in 1100 square foot home with one bathroom) and drive older cars that I could pay cash for the surgeries.  I'm just rolling it all around in my mind...how much do I buy, how much to I use for other purposes (the kids are all through college). 

But back to YOU.  YOU look stunning and I really am excited for you with your PS coming up so soon.  Wow PK!!!!!!!
