Accountability - Friday
Yes, I'm panicky. Trying to keep my calories down is keeping my protein too low but I can't seem to help myself. I started out not eating until 10 am, which is wrong but it's what I did anyway. As I said, panicky.
List for the day:
B: nothing but coffee, 24 oz drink mix, water
S: 24 oz drink mix, water
S: oatmeal, tvp, soy protein, soy milk
S: 24 oz drink mix, water
L: 1/2 a quesadilla with chicken and cheese, 1/8 cup of refried beans and cheese
S: 24 oz drink mix, water
S: 24 oz drink mix, water (for ONCE, I've gotten all my water in.)
D: 4 oz ceviche on top of a bed of raw spinach and tomatoe. 1 oz jack cheese and 1T thousand Island Dressing.
Probably will have a cup of decaf for dessert with swiss miss and some splenda mocha.
Totals for the day:
Calories: 1369
Fat: 57.2
Carbs: 126.5
Protein: 95.5
28% protein for the day. Not bad.

I am getting back on track tomorrow! I should of today but it was just an odd day; glad the holidays are over and Monday will be beack to school and back to work for everyone!

Yeah! Amen to the back to work thing...I'm so bad at keeping to a schedule while I"m off work.
Your list looks really good. It looks like you're pretty much on track to me. I think getting back to the gym is on everyone's resolution list. LOL. Yesterday I cleaned the house like it was an olympic sport.

Your list looks awesome. The numbers look good too! Although, that protein number could go higher..I have soy granules (TVP) that are 22 grams of protein for 1/4 cup. I'm planning on spaghetti squash (because the family LOVES spaghetti and I can't eat the noodles at all) but I'm going to add 1/4 cup of my protein to the sauce on my plate to boost the protein for me. Maybe you can find a place to add it to your diet too.
I can totally relate to the baking. I want to bake for several reasons. To warm up the house (nothing warms it like that oven!) and to keep busy. Standing in the kitchen and puttering...Great to keep from sitting on my butt for a couple of hours. The problem with me is I wanna eat alot of what I bake. I had two solid days of baking in, with help from dh...I gave ALL that stuff away. But then some of our friends brought us the same as we brought them...FOOD...I have two giant cans of cookies and candy. So come Monday, I'm taking that stuff to work and everyone ELSE can eat it...Lol.

Can i get TVP on the web or were do you get it i try to do shakes but i just cant choke them down. i have tried many different ones and i just cant get over the flavor. But i manage to get some down one in a while. thanks to you for all the help you give me and everyone on here . You are a very giving person to do this day in a day out. Any way happy new year to you

TVP is soy granules or Textured Vegetable Protein. I put it in my tacos, chili, spaghetti sauce...I put it in my oatmeal in the morning. It has a nutty sort of taste on it's own but takes up the flavor of whatever you cook it with. You can get TVP on line at harmonyhousefoods.com. It comes in different flavors there. I've found it at the health food store and at Vallarta Super Mercado too.
I was at the mall today and saw they have unflavored soy protein at Vitamin World. They have protein powder at GNC too but I didn't look at it too much.
Protein powder works good in malto meal or oatmeal. I can make chocolate malto meal or whatever flavor I want from regular with the protein powder. Just mix it in before you microwave it. That works best, I think.

Oh! Mom's homemade chili! Now the only thing better than my own homemade chili is when someone else makes it! LOL.
I've been thinking that I can't really judge how much protein I get from that or from spaghetti sauce either but I can reconstitute some soy granules and add THAT to my chili bowl or spaghetti sauce...I'm planning on spaghetti squash this next week so we can have spaghetti again...My dh is italian and I think it's some sort of Vatican Dispensation if they can't have spaghetti or something. LOL.
