A great year for me.

LapBand surgery - Oct 1, 2007 - 267 pounds

Dec 30, 2008 - 173 pounds

Lost 94 pounds.

Admittedly, I have been at the same weight for 2 months.  But I am happy with that.

My DH gets the band Feb 2, and I know once I begin eating better and exercising more to encourage him, I will lose the last 8 to 10 pounds I'd like to lose!

I hope everyone's 2008 was all you wanted it to be and that your 2009 is as good, or better!

I regret to say that Oprah & I are in the same boat.  Not 200# for me, but too close for comfort.  Last time I was this high was 7 months post-op.  Lowest ever was 176 at two years post-op.  Ugh, writing it here made me realize - a 20# gain (14 of that in 2008)!  All due to laziness, sad to say.

Otherwise, post-WLS life is good.  I ran three 5Ks this summer/fall, but haven't kept up the running in the sub-zero MN weather.  I am jumping on the treadmill at work today in an effort to restart the exercise.

Take care,

J

My second year was not too shabby!

Dec 2006 surgery weight was357
Jan 2008 was 210
Today am 167!

Now to keep up the progress or at lease prevent back-peddalling!  It gets harder and harder as time goes by.

Halloween to New Years Eve 2007 I managed to put on 10 lbs snacking/grazing and ended the year @  139 lbs...

wanted to get back in my comfort range of 125-130 for my New Year Resolution, but never really wrapped myself around the concept and instead floated between 133 - 139 all year long...

Today 137 ( still under my surgeons goal for me but wanting to see #'s under 130

Around Dec 1st I set it in my mind to just try and hold the line until the New Year and formulated a solid plan to TRULY make it back to my comfort zone again in 2009...

I wish me, and all the rest of us, the best of luck in 2009 at attaining any thing we set our minds too...
