hi everyone on WLS grads

first i want to wish you all a happy holiday season and a healthy 2009.

i havent posted much lately cause i was in a big car accident on 12/14 and have had surgery to repair a shattered ankle and other assorted problems.  i was in the hospital and rehab for about 10 days and now im home with a long time ahead of me for the ankle to heal
im wheelchair bound for now and hubby has just been an angel as well as my family who have all been so supportive.

it makes you stop and think though about life and all the things we worry and complain about on a daily basis.  man has that all been thrown in persepective for me lately.  im grateful to be alive and here to tell you all.

luckily im not too hungry yet cause im sooo afraid of my butt getting wider for the 8-12 weeks i will need to be sitting on it.  but im alive and i will cope day by day.

hugs to you all, be safe and well please all take care of yourselves and your loved ones

There's never a good time to have something like this happen, but to have it over the holidays is really the pits.  Thank goodness you have a good man to take care of you~

Good things can come from situations such as these.  My DH is terminal and it definitely changes your perspective, and can enrich your life, if you allow it to do so.

My wish for you is a quick and complication free recovery, and a safe 2009!

At or below goal since 5/08....without mal-absorption!

WOW!  Glad you are still here to talk about it! Get well fast!  Keep popping your vits and supps...and stay healthy....Watch your calories while you are not active....but don't  neglect your protein!
Vit C is great for broken bones !  My son has proven to be quite breakable...and the docs are always stunned at how fast his bones heal after breaking several over his "all boy" lifetime of 22 years...I load him up on Vit C as my first choice of mini miracle healing! LOL...Calcium, D, zinc, and electrolyes (magnesium and potassium) along with amino acid Lysine for tissue repair too...So make sure to get your protein for healing!  And keep up on your vits!  Especially Calcium and D!

Start taking Vit C  and get better sooner!
