Update on my "gall bladder" issues.. wasn't a Gall Bladder issue

Okay, so last week, or maybe the week before I had put up a post because I had extensive bloating and pain in my upper and lower abdomen. I was of the theory that my gall bladder had finally gone out because I had the symptom**** after I had a very oily meal (mediteranean food). Anyhow, I had an ultrasound the day after my 2nd day of pain, and then a CT scan on Friday night (pain started wednesday afternoon) at 8pm. Turns out, it was my appendix! I had to go to the emergency room at 10:30 at night on a Friday night and spent my weekend in the hospital recovering from an emergency appendectomy. So, that was my weekend week before last. Finally feeling normal again. Had fever and infection after it was removed. Doc said they caught it 24 hours before it ruptured.. lucky me right? :) I actually think so! could have been so much worse.. the only good side to this is that I lost 8bs due to anti biotics and not being able to eat.

Jess,  glad to hear you're recovering nicely!  I had my appendectomy 8 weeks after my RNY.  It's not fun is it?
