Typically, if I have a salad (chef salad or taco salad) I'm only eating the top half of it anyway so most of the lettuce goes to waste...I kind of like the lettuce if I have some of it cuz I figure, I'm getting at least something that can be considered a vegetable...LOL.
Of course, most restaurants now a days have an on-line menu and you can peruse the menu before you even leave the house...Making your choices ahead of time or at least seeing what options you have available. I did that yesterday with Chili's but...unfortunately, I had one giant bite of black bean burger and didn't chew it enough and hurt for over an hour...No amount of planning ahead is going to make up for poor self control, I suppose. It helps alot but, sadly...selfcontrol is paramount.
