Pouch Test Success !!!

Today was day #5 for my pouch test!  I think it was a success!  Thank God for good friends here on the message board and for the 5 day pouch test.  I even managed to lose a good 6 pounds in the process, which proves I was eating far too much before.  I am going to begin it again in the morning and then see where I am.

I just looked at my original post...."I AM GAINING IT BACK, PLEASE HELP ME" which posted on Nov. 27th.  531 people viewed that post.  That shows me I am not the only one with the problem of gaining, but more importantly, it showed me I was not alone in needing help.  It's tough but I keep remembering what Janine said.  She said there was nothing in her fridge that tasted as good as her size 6's in her closet!  I typed that in huge letters and put it at work & at home and I am living that comment 24/7 !  Thanks Janine!  You made a huge impact on me!

I am encouraged by your post. I am going to start the 5 day pouch test this week, but fear that I will forever be out of control of my appetite and eating, post RYN. I think that I am the ONE person that will be back at preop weight and unhealthy state. Any encouragement is appreciated. Thanks for sharing!!!!!!!!!1

Hi everyone,

Ok..I am 2 years out of WLS and I am worried.  Although I still can't eat like I did I notice
now that I used to not be able to eat chicken or some meat and now I can.
I get hungry really fast after just eating!
I made an appt to see my surgeon.  The PA told me sometimes when there is weight gain
they go in there and see what's going on and may need to resize the pouch because it may have stretched some.
I am getting worried though.  I weigh 130 but used to weigh 110.  I was really thin then but I was happy in my clohes...
What is the five day pouch test?

Howdy,
Vicki your post has helped and I'm one of the 531 people that viewed your post several times. Last week I hit my 3 year-out anniv. The follow-up appt went fairly well. I had gained 15 lbs in the past couple months. I'm desparate and scared. For-the-life-of-me I can't seem to stay on track anymore. I bet I've tried the pouch-test 10 times or more and have never seen it through, actually I started last week when you did. I was sharing my disappointment over all this with my husband & daughters today and started crying my eyes out...... Tomorrow is another day, right? Fall 7 times... get up eight.
Kathy
So Vicki are you actually starting the diet from day one again tomorrow, Monday, and going to follow it through all five days again? I may try it again. Please Help Me, too!
