where can i find the 5 day pouch test? i am about 2 and a half years post op and i have recently started gaining back weight. this is after losing 117 lbs and then having the excess skinned removed. i have been feeling very disgusted lately. went to see my surgeon due to pain in my left side while eating he thought i may have kidney stones, i think im just over eating. the doctor said i do have some fluid in my pouch.... not exactly sure what that means.  i have already gained 18 lbs but im afraid i will wake up and find myself at 328 lbs again. i cant deal with that. bein that i had the excess skin removed about 8 months ago the weight gain has me looking about 4 months pregnant being that it all landed in my belly. being that no one else understands this is a lifelong struggle for us but us i decided to come home to my obesityhelp family for the support to get through this. any advice will be grEatly appreciated along with the info on where to  find the 5dpt

Hi,
I have found it before by typing it in in the search engine on the OH website.
I am sorry I have not been more help. I too have pain on my left side. I have passed several kidney stones ( on both sides) and am getting them analysed.
I am only 4 months out as of 11/18.  But  if I were gaining that kind of weight I would be asking my surgeon what is going on. Girl you have come too far and gone through so much sweat and tears to let this get you down.
Did they do any testing at all? My Dr. started w/ a urine test and then when it showed blood they did a CT scan. That was a month ago and I am still battling the stones. I think  I have been developing them because of all the water I drink and possibly the Calcium Citrate that I have to take. But I would still rather have the stones than not have my RNY tool!
Lots of luck and hugs!

Honey, ask yourself everyday, "What am I eating?  Is it good for me?  Am I getting any exercise today?"  These are our eternal questions.  Ask them and act accordingly upon them.  Good luck.  I am sure you will get it back together soon. D

hi mccashd,
in all honesty i can say i do not eat the best foods possible at all times.... but i do try. and lately i do find myself eating more than usual and past the feeling of fullness. i thought these days were gone. but unfortunately the old demons have come back to haunt me. so after i see the doc on tuesday i will try my hardest to get myself back on track. im afraid to gain anymore weight than i have already. thanks for the reality check.

See your surgeon.  Be honest with yourself.  If you are always hungry and able to eat more than you should, talked to them about an EDG to see if they can find out why.  It could be your stoma is stretched.  Then discuss your options with your surgeron.
