Accountability - Monday

Not the Same Dawn

I stayed home and force fed my kitty to try and get his strength up so he will survive...Tomorrow I'll have to go to work. I'll feed him in the morning and when I get home but hopefully, he'll eat on his own tomorrow. If not, I'm losing him.

My day was short in all areas but protein:

Breakfast: oatmeal, tvp, soy protein, soy milk, banana, coffee

Snack: 1 oz cheese stick, 1 oz turkey ham lunch meat

Snack: 1 piece NSA apple pie, homemade.

Lunch: Grands biscuit with 3 oz turkey (left overs still)

Snack: Sugar free pumpkin pie with Kashi Go Lean crust. Didnt' count the protein from the crust

Dinner: 4 oz beef steak, 1/2 a medium baked potato, 1/3 cup canned string beans

Totals for the day:

Calories: 1667
Fat: 54.2
Carbs: 185.6
Protein: 117.2

sigh...tomorrow is gonna be hard. I stayed busy with baking stuff for the Christmas boxes we'll send out. The boys found they really liked the Florentine (italian) Cookies I made and then my son ate all the ginger cookies late last night so I made 5 dozen more...LOL. Gotta keep up with their cookie habit. I actually ate one and didn't dump so I know I'm in trouble now...I even made a loaf of bread for my son so he can have sandwiches..We had NO bread for months. LOL. I do good work.

How did you do today?
Yes, RNY worked for me but it also requires a lot of work from me!

I was in a grazing mood last night, so I had a lot of snacks.  Trying to beat back that mental carb demon.  I know once I start it will be on like popcorn! The scale is still moving down a little at a time.  I'm almost as excited as when I was a newbie.  Can this continue?  Stay tuned....

Hugs!

You're absolutely right! Today we'll call the vet and have him put down humanely..It's got to be done, he's suffering and I am too. I just have to get back to a normal schedule and away from my kitchen. I've already packed my lunch bag and planned to take three containers of water to refill two of them. Sitting at my desk, I can stay on "task" and get my water in the way I should...AND not snack because I have the girls in the office trained that they don't even OFFER me snacks.

Your numbers look really good. Bacon for a snack...hmm. I have to fry some up and sta**** in the frig for later, I'm thinkin...For the days that I have really short protein.

Seriously, thanks for the sermon.. I really needed it.
