I'm sure I'm not the only one with this problem . I am 4yrs out and I still can't drink a lot of water or enough protine. If i was to try to do 65 grams of protine i would have to pick all day to get it in, and if I did that then I wouldn't be able to drink  cause your not suppose to drink or eat at the same time. anyhow I still can't drink enough I'm just not thirsty. I could go all day without drinking I never was one for drinking. Help

Hi,

You may want to increase your salt intake. That will help in keeping hydrated.  Also get your yearly labs and see if you are lacking in anything.

I'm not dehydrated, I get Labs done every 6 to 12months, I don't drink with or 30min after my meal, I take all my vitimens , and I walk 30 to 45mins a day, I am just a grazer and i am never thirsty.

Hi,

Sorry misread your post.  Still, you need the water regardless of how you think you feel.  I don't eat alot either, but I make sure I have plenty of fluids.  As long as you feel well and your labs are good, then I wouldn't worry too much about the amounts you eat.  Quality is the key.  It seems your food choices are working for you.

maybe you should speak with a nutritionist.  at four years out, getting in your protein and water should not be an issue.

good luck and maybe try tracking on an online food tracker and see what you are actually taking in on a daily basis

be safe and well, jacki

You are correct, you do have to eat all day to get your protein in - I eat 6 to 7 times a day in order to meet my nutritional goals. For drinking I follow the 5/30 rule... no drinking 5 minutes before and 30 minutes after. As for the fluids we all need different amounts... basically they say if you are peeing clear or almost clear you are drinking enough so figure out what your body needs. Even if you are not thristy you should still be trying to sip... I have water at my side 24/7... I sip when I am in the car, at my desk etc... I am not really paying attention to it I just keep doing it when I have a chance, its a habit now.
