RMR TEST Dr has no idea
So, if you do in fact mean RMR would you please educate me as to what that is? If you mean BMR your physician will probably understand that one.
Thanks.

They are slightly different. BMR testing requires that you basically test before you even get out of bed in the morning and gives you a true basal metabolic rate. The test more commonly done is Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR) which is the amount you would burn if you did nothing but sit on the couch all day. The difference is pretty minimal so RMR is usually much more readily available and true BMR testing is only done in special cir****tances.
Hope that helps!

Wish you lived in Cali - I would test if for you!
BMR and RMR are pretty close to the same thing. BMR has more strict pre-test requirements to truly be a Basal Metabolic Rate. It's pretty hard to accomplish that though so RMR is the next best thing.
I don't know where you can find it in your area. I had trouble finding it in my area so I decided to start offering it myself. I'm just getting off the ground and in the process of educating physicians, personal trainers, nutritionists, etc about the importance of it.
For what it's worth...having mine tested was really helpful in determining my target calorie range and it helped me stop losing and maintain my weight.
Good luck!
