Lapband Grads????

I was just curious to hear some stories from those who are years out and who have had success and/or complications from the lapband surgery.......thanks so much

Well, I am almost 14 months post op.  I have lost 92 pounds and am still losing VERY slowly.  I am thrilled with my loss.

I have had absolutely no complications.  I have 3.3 cc's in a 10 cc band and have had 3 fills, the last one 10 months ago.  I feel I have perfect restriction.

My DH is currently jumping through all the insurance hoops to be banded, as well. 

I had a band almost 6 years ago.  I have done great no complications, other than flipped port at 5 weeks.   This was fixed easily, and lost 85 pounds the first year and then another 10-15 later.  It has been the best 6 years.  For the last 3 years I have been working with bariatric patients, and that is great also.

I am about 16 months out, i have lost 82 lbs with 28 to go.  i haven't had any complicatons- just been loosing very slowly the last 5 months.

There are a lot of veterans with bands and a lot of very successful stories and experiences. You might check out the lap-band board.

I'm almost 1 year out and haven't had a single issue. I'm at goal and maintaining very well. Life with the band is soooo good!!!

yeah I go to the lap-band board every single day lol..........I enjoy reading the posts ... I don't post a whole lot yet b/c I am not banded so I have just been observing unless I have a question....but thanks for the reply I love to hear all experiences.... Are you the one who's husband was having issues with the band or not??? I just know I remember reading about that and couldn't remember who it was.......
