I'm almost one year out and my hair is still thin. I was told it would probably grow back...when? I would love to hear your experiences with this issue.

Mine started falling out at about 4-5mths and took some time to grow back in, but was looking better by 12-18mth post op. I lost some again around 2yrs out due to not getting in enough protein~lesson learned~and it has been great ever since! (almost 4yrs post op now). Good Luck and Congratulations on 1yr!!!!!

I am 3 years out and I think mine is just now back to normal.  It was very thin 6 months to 1 1/2 yrs. out.

my hair loss started 3 months post-op. by 1 year post op... hair regrowth was evident.
hair regrowth probably depends on amount of nutrition you get... more food intake.. more hair.

"I am currently getting back on track!

Hi - I started with hair loss at about the 5 month mark. Stopped at about 9 months. I am at 13 months now, and have re-growth coming in. A bunch of hair about 1 inch long around my hair line - poking out everywhere! Looks like I cut my hair especially around my part. I just blend them in with some hair wax and you can't tell.

The loss started at about 3 months out and I lost a lot!  Fortunately, my hair was fairly full to begin with so nobody noticed but my husband & me.  I continued to lose for about 3 or 4 months & then it started coming back.  I'm 21 months post-op & I think most has returned.

I am 3 years post op. Mine fell out and grew back. I teach elementary music. Just today, at the beginning of a lesson one of my 5 yr olds said:  "I LOVE your beautiful hair."

It doesn't get any better than that.
